To Make a Runeword
Items used for Runewords must be gray text items, normal, exceptional, or Elite. Low Quality, Superior, and Ethereal can be used, but you can not use magical, Rare, Set, Crafted, or Unique items, even if they have the correct number of sockets.
The item must be of the correct type.
The item must have exactly the correct number of sockets – no more.
You must socket the Runes in the correct order.

You’ve used magical item.

You have the grave accent mark at the beginning, but you forgot the grave accent at the end.

Still, it works. So, “close enough for government work”.

(I give you an A for effort).

This armor is now useless. It won’t fit in my inventory. Is the problem caused by the blue magic letters on it? Just want to make sure I won’t make the same mistake next time. :sleepy:

As nemo said, yes. Rune Words only work on Normal (white) items with Sockets. Magic items (blue text) with Sockets will not work.

You’re not the first one to make this mistake. The link I gave you above tells you how to make all the Rune Words and which items you can and cannot use.

Always the same problem.
Normal items have white name not blue.
You don’t need to make a thread for that it is not a bug.
