Just wondering what everyone’s end game excitement is about in D2R.
For me, I really enjoy key running and Mephisto. Uber’s are okay too but I’m really looking forward to those first 50 Meph runs, probably the most. So, what about the rest of you, what’s your favourite endgame content?
I enjoy, Countess, Cows, Andy, Trav and Chaos runs. Work keys in after I remake my old paladin.
Also I like making alts, I am that guy that ends up with 4 types of barbarians.
Frankly, I really like, going to duel games and just watching. Dislike PvP myself, but I enjoy watchen it, even just seeing peoples icons moving around on the mini map and seeing random spells come from off screen is kinda fun.
“PVP” is one type of endgame for d2"
Fixed it for you. If PVP is your only end game goal, good for you, others have different goals.
Everything he listed is end game or means to end game.
Items, Leveling, PVP, Ubers, As many viable builds as you wish.
I am just looking forward to finding certain items again for the first time in D2r since it will feel brand new, building out my toons to compete at the highest level, complete the ubers on my own, dabble with PVP, and whatever else I can do with what time I have to play 20 years later.
Lvling and gearing up both favorite old builds and new ones. Frankly I love just playing different styles of gameplay and getting them to work for me even in HELL. I do hope some buffs comes so I can try more builds without having to over level them just to make them work, though that can be their own challenge.
I don’t care if the unique and set items are not as good as runewords, I like to FIND them.
Hell mf runs for weeks
Edit: I do like playing with various builds too. Currently going through hell on a sorc with 20 in frozen orb 20 chain light 10 thunder storm 5 cold master 15 thunder master and a few other odds and ends. Only run into 3 mobs with cold and light immune so far, and my ethereal insight thresher merc made quick work of those…
I wanna play the remaster though
Honestly, I know this isn’t endgame content in the conventional sense, but I look forward to any and all endgame content; taking the tp with some potentially good mystery loot and just seeing old Deckard standing there ready to identify vs some lame book.
Cows never leave cows unless ubers cows this is the way this is where runes drop! Maybe one day maps with cows just cows with more mods lots more and bonus MF but still cows just harder cows and harder
mf’ing for chilling and gearing for pvp chars, leveling for being social, a good baal or chaos run is always abit social
end game goal is well a good old pvp char but i enjoy the whole process of chilling with mf and leveling to get to the pvping and gearing
I can’t call it end game, but I’ll be slowly exploring every nook and cranny with the new graphics. Most of us play on autopilot after all these years and don’t really appreciate how things look. I feel like I don’t really absorb what I’m seeing cause I’m so focused on whatever task is at hand.
Maybe it’s just me? Like, when have you stopped and looked, I mean really looked to appreciate all the small details? I’m always running to get a quest done, grabbing a waypoint and moving on to the next thing. The next time you play (even if it’s before the remaster comes out) just clear an area of all the baddies and just look around. You’ll see so many things you’ve never seen before, even though you’ve been staring at them for years.
I was playing a few weeks ago, and only just noticed the stamina shrine icon is a little shoe with wings. I know this might be crazy to somebody, but I forgot that, even though I grab them all the time. I’m too focused on where I’m going and not where I am.
Deckard says stay awhile and listen, you should stay awhile and look.
