I think my favoriate thing in 2.4 is the merc changes. Love em.
Right off the bat, the A5 “frenzy” merc seems like a big upgrade over the Act 2, for my Bliz sorc. The idea for her is a high damage merc to kill the cold immunes fast. Biggest problem is when he gets slowed and has to chase the mobs down. The current act 2 uses a chammed shako to avoid the freeze, but decrepify is still a problem. But the new A5 has Frenzy! So he’s super fast, and does more damage (with dual griefs+fort). Also I already have the dual griefs, fortitude and chammed Arreats on my frenzy barb, so no need to farm the gear.
The bowazon I think will still be better getting might aura from an A2. Though it would be cool if you had Faith on the Zon, to add fana aura to the dual grief A5, and watch him go.
I think for my barb I may go with Act 1 and get fire/exploding arrow for some AOE the character does not have. And try to get Faith for the aura on the character.
Any thoughts on what you’ll do with your own characters/builds?
