We really need a trading system. Why not turn the hall into a trading system similar to an auction house? The current trading system is virtually nonexistent. Players are scattered across various places to trade, such as TR, DD373, NGA, and Diablo Core, all of which are third-party platforms. Trading this way is not only very inconvenient, but also makes players more susceptible to scams, making it difficult for them to find the items they want. I sincerely hope that Blizzard can introduce its own trading system for D2R and stop relying on these third-party trading platforms.
D2R will not get this, we have completely different issues in the game and these will probably not be addressed either.
Besides, trading in D2 is completely corrupted by RMT anyway.
What you can earn from the game as a solo player, especially in the area of runes that serve as a substitute currency and above all in the ladder, bears no relation to the pricing on trading sites such as Traderie.
The trend there is always towards high-end runes and, of course, the 1-2 runes that bring in the most money by far on the RMT sites. Precisely because it is a hidden cycle and the prices on sites like Traderie are of course purely arbitrary and are made by those who also offer the runes on the RMT sites and the rest are oriented towards them and consider this to be normal.
Anything else makes no real sense.
I once argued with a seller on Traderie because I wanted to make it clear to him that these invented prices would not be tenable without RMT. After a long outburst of anger on his part, and after I didn’t respond, he started bombarding my offers with low runes like El to Sol runes and then at the end wrote me a text where he admitted that it was RMT and we would just have to live with it… it was an Asian.
So you will more or less be forced to buy runes somewhere for real money in order to take part in a trade.
The thing that bothers me a little in the game is the fact that from Hell Games onwards at the latest, they are almost all trading games and there are hardly any real games that you can really play as a team, etc.
Either they’re all rush games, or they’re all Baalgames, or rarely Diarun, or they’re almost all trading games.
That makes things very unpleasant.
Admittedly the in-game Trading system is a bit archaic, but I don’t think an in-game Auction House is going to be implemented. Game is just too old to even bother, and they scrapped it on Diablo 3 so given that reality, it’s not coming to D2R.
@LordByron: Once you reach Hell Difficulty, there really isn’t anything to do but do rushes, Ubers, level(Chaos or Baal runs) or Magic Find(various areas depending on class). The latter could be included in “walks” where a group walks the game from start to finish, clearing every demonic soul from existence in the Blood Moor all the way to Baal in Worldstone Chamber. That includes all the optional dungeons that people rarely ever venture into(and generally for good reason since Monsters in there can F*&^ you up and generally have rare Immunities like the Wendigo’s in A3 that are Magic Immune).
What people need to do is simply join groups/clans/guilds who will take the time to do various things together(like what I just mentioned). One idea I came up with while with a group years ago was walking the game with each Class Set represented. The Class Sets can hold their own in Hell Difficulty but combined they can do far more given that the Team is supplying useful auras, buffs and generally covering your build’s weaknesses.
Yet with power creep, people just don’t bother because the game poses no challenge. There is no incentive to team up, hence the constant squabble for P8 online because game is too easy… when in reality that would do the exact opposite since all drops are first snatch, first to ID, first to sell/give-away.
Then there is the issue of Sofcore vs. Hardcore and which one to invest the time towards.
