This time i tried for the first time to get into the top100 and i gave up at lvl97 cause there is no thing like a fair race. Streamer get full player8 games every 2-3 minutes where they can solo clear the terror zone meanwhile if you want to do the same with public you have to sacrifice all your loot for the race up to 99 cause in public games high tier loot/runes/charms just last around 0,01sec on floor which is enough to notice but not to click it. I dunno how people loot that fast but i guess loot bots or controller usage. Is it that hard to introduce personal loot or the /players command to online play? Why has the average streamer the privilege to get /player8 games whenever he wants to farm whatever he wants just cause of his community but the average peasant cant cause blizzard doesnt want the /players command in online play? Just cause of botting lower kurast chests for runes? simple solution : exclude chests from the playerscaling if the /players command is used. Thats how easy it is
Why do you spam another one topic about p8 online?
This wet dream of casual players will never come true
Cause there are already2 methods that make p8 possible either by abusing your community as a streamer or throw 7x $20 at blizzard for d2r licenses and download a bot that make you p8 games for yourself at a button press. So why dont just make the command useable?
Because the main feature of online mode is to team up with other players.
Go build a team yourself.
Just wait, a change will come next season or the one after it. It is the most common requested change by far.
Maybe because they put in the effort in order to have this competitive advantage?
What is stopping you from doing the same? Why not start streaming yourself? It’s not like it’s that hard. Or what’s stopping you from making a team?
The thing is you want to have the same benefits without going through all the hassle. Mightily entitled of you.
Also give everyone 4 paid months off from work to play and also I’m gonna need a robot clone to be daddy and husband. Thanks.
How do the streamers abuse their community? People willingly help. Nobody is coerced to do anything.
It seems being a team player is a foreign concept to you.
Ladder reset has always been about starting fresh. Whoever has the most time to play and is the most insane will be top on ladder. Whether the insanity is buying many copies to run and boost your game exp or being a top streamer and getting p8 games to solo. It’s never been a fair thing. Everyone has different amounts of time they can devote and levels of insanity their lives allow. Just have fun bro. Play single player or something else if it bothers you that much.
I remember in the early 2000s when we would enter the ladder in teams at my local internet cafe. We chose a character that was the main runner and when we synchronized we played together, otherwise we were all leveling the same char when we got the opportunity. It was a team effort.
Now things changed…we have broadband everywhere, streaming, etc.
What I am trying to point out, is that people have always found ways to team-up and optimize results. Nobody is abused. It’s like saying the mechanic team of a race driver is abused.
even with ploot and p8 you couldnt compete in that race, stop dreaming.
Lol no
I barely try to join others games anymore.
And I still don’t want players command anywhere but SP.
No we dont.
On the contrary, I think to make it more fair, the player bonus should be merged into the party bonus. Only more loot and more xp if you are in the same area and in proximity. Monsters should still spawn with increased hp/dps according to player number currently in the game globally but you only benefit if you slay as a group else it’s like xp/loot as player 1. No more split xp/mf games emulating the players x command in bnet.
IDK theres plenty of Split Farming games that are usually full. You’re just not being quick enough to locate them before they leave the list. You could make a split farming game yourself. People will join!
The only gripe I ever had with the loot is that Distance chars/ rangers etc basically miss out on all the loot, forever. They basically have to suicide every time they want to go pick something up.
I used to enjoy pubs and also get some loot out of it, even as a sorc but lately the ground is an empty wasteland for the most part. I hear the noise of something dropping but its gone before I could even see what it was. So, I just solo. So, yeah it is a choice. Level or loot… but it was kinda always that way cuz Lister was never really known for his great dropping capacity and there were always Script driven toons hoovering the floor as they went.
In my opinion, shared loot is a very important part of the feel of the game. It adds community factor on its own. It youre all not scambling for and fighting over the same loot then its just a glorified single player and most often than not, people would stop talking to each other. You just gotta find a better way, like they did.
I’d rather have a Monster Power function that increases health, damage and density of monsters. (But no increase in XP gain or drops per monster) That way the number of players still affects monsters like normal in addition to the Monster Power setting.
Recap of what Monster Power was in Diablo 3:

and to do split mf games? Kill bosses in other’s quest game? That is not really “teaming” up.
If that was true, why is the d2 cliche that multiplayer is for xp and solo for loot? The fact is the increase in multiplayers are less than multiplayer number. This mrans less drops on a per player basis. Of course, the cheats & PC controller users love multiplayer since they can get way more good items than expected by random chance.
I agree with you man i would totally go for personal loot. Bots using it online would destroy the economy fast but if you solo played /p2+online and it made your loot personal loot that would be sweet for me. I mainly solo play and just trade gems and bases. It seems like the way around the problem to me.
