Would be neat if there was a toggle, with the default as off so that new players wouldn’t be overwhelmed with info that they don’t yet understand. However, I feel it would be best left for a patch where they overhaul the in game information to give the recipes in game, this way the recipes can include the pertinent information per item level.
At this point, I think you are here just to troll, since you are obviously salty that your takes are less than popular here in the forums. Displaying the item level is not in the same vain as drastically altering skills or game modes. PD2 Season 5 just released, it might be more up your alley for a drastically changed D2 experience. And I’m not saying this as some “purist” either, as I’m interested in more updating of D2R, especially for a more fulfilling multiplayer experience.
While this may seem like a personal attack, I don’t mean it as such, but I think the biggest issue I have with your mentality here, is that ever since 2.4 PTR notes, you have been nothing but a force of negativity and cries for more drastic measures. I doubt you’ve put any time worthwhile into 2.4, which is why your constant spam topics overlap on occasion with stuff that already happened in 2.4 (such as Holy Bolt affecting more than undead - you had a recent compilation topic calling for it to damage all monster types besides undead). You should fight the fights worth winning, and have a chance to garner support, but you have been willing to die on a hill with very few followers.
And yes, I realized the take was sarcasm, but still a trollish take none the less.

I hope “display item level” is a toggleable option in the PTR and 2.5 release.
This has been a commonly requested QoL feature since D2R was first announced (check the date of this post, February 2021) and it’d take nearly no developer work to implement for the huge benefits to crafting, socketing, rerolling, cubing, etc. it would provide.

I hope we get info soon. I’m capped at characters now, and waiting for season rollover to manage inventories. Need about 1.3 bars to hit 93 on the bowa, then probably break from the game except for when my coworker wants to play and for ptr

BlizzTrack says there was an update to the “Early Review” and “Development Region” clients this morning, Hopefully we get a PTR announcement post in the next week or two.

I was hoping to get a teaser today with D3 ptr ending. Just seen the D4 leaks going around is it. If nothing tomorrow, probably will be another week or two.
What exactly are we supposed to test during the ptr? If I remember correctly there was hardly anything worth testing in the last one. I suppose I overlooked some of the changes to Auradin, but until they announce something worth testing I don’t really feel excited for it. Not really wanting to test Enigma, CTA, Infinity, etc.
There was a lot of stuff to test on the last one. I primarily did bowazon, summon druid, throw barb and Fohdin, on both both iterations of last ptr. The feedback from the first paved way for Fohdin to dmg demons as well as undead, all druid summons, synergies for bowa, etc. Plus bugs reported. Not that they fixed the set upgrade lvl req bug yet…

You’re right. FOH pally was the bread and butter of last patch in my eyes. I even made one myself at the beginning of ladder and enjoyed it for a short time. I understand that they buffed bow zon skills, all caster skills, and made summoner druid a thing, but as far as content all they did was increase number of lvl 85 areas (big whoop!), I’d rather they added more useful runewords or item reworks than just giving us the useless ones they did. Those recipes to upgrade set items are also quite worthless aside from maybe 2-3 pieces worth upgrading. I never made any of the new runewords either for this entire season. Would’ve been nice to actually need them, but I never did. Can’t speak for all players though I am sure many others enjoyed them.
Would be nice to see this in 2.6, item level display toggle would be a massive QoL improvement for very little work.
