This, also all the recipes and information should be implemented inside the game.
There are different ways to do it, but you should be able to find all necessary information for the game inside the game. It’s 2021 and that would be a good way to modernise d2.
I bring this up here as item level is one of those things that you can actually find out as long as you know where you picked it up from.
would be nice also. I will just use d2.maxroll.gg for all recipes and leveling guides.
But iLvl is nothing we can lookup from external resources, so this is a must have
A very good idea indeed. Make it optional and put it in the menus. Crafting items is not an advanced mechanic, all you need are a rune, a gem and an item; but most importantly to know the ilvl, which crafting is based on…
Well this can be very useful for crafting and rerolling specific gcs, maybe trading for gcs ppl claim dropped from Diablo Nihlathak, and Baal. Nothing else really comes to mind.
Actually, there’s a pretty simple way to enable a built-in item-level display option by modifying excel tables for the items. Changing ‘ShowLevel’ field to 1 makes D2R display the item’s qLvl at the end of the name string. But the thing is, it shows (1) for all the items, meaning the qLvl is not in use right now or Blizzard totally changed the way to store the qLvl data but did not change the level showing function properly.
Unfortunately this wasn’t in the 2.4.3 patch notes, the option to display item level would be a fantastic QoL improvement for crafting, cubing, socketing, rerolling, etc.
