Black marsh hell mode waypoint has enemy spawns too close to waypoint so using the waypoint will kill your character in less then 3 seconds during loading. Beware

If a game mode is restricted to a specific console THEN blizzard should either disable hard core in ps4 OR fix the server AI until it registers you in game so you can at least escape an attack. Not die in loading
It’s just the way the game is designed, same problem on old and slow machines back in the old days. I would experience the same thing in 2008 when I would always die during the duriel load screen. During the load time everything in the game is still happening, you and the monsters can both run and attack. I always thought it was stupid and ridiculous, long before d2r. This is also a big issue in hell cows, where you can be in the thick of a pack of 50 and die instantly even with ps5 instant load times. It’s the name of the game, every single click, action, monster, damage, place and thing could mean the end.
I too remember playing diablo2 on a ibm 486 barely running windows 95 with 16 mbs of ram and a 56k dial up with aol online and i figured my connection speed and processing power back then was sufficient for minimum game requirements?
Last i checked a playstation 4 is superior to an IBM 486? Unless im wrong ?

True but the graphics and hardware needs are both scaling up. Maybe 1 man can pull a 100 pound wagon but you’ll need more to pull 2000lbs at the same speed.
Loading times in games is loading textures, so a difference from the old game

Should waypoint use come at a risk? Or should you be able to waypoint around and be okay?
Ask yourself that next time you want to check the hardcore box. Get a ps5, a pc, xsx or enjoy extra-hardcore.

You signed the contract and you died. If you want to whine and moan then do it. But if you want to take your death out on me and then accuse me of trolling, go ahead and do that too, but realize you now learned the lesson that it’s not for babies. Does the “always thought it was stupid and ridiculous” not answer what I think about waypoint travel? Do you not understand that better graphics requires more load time with the same hardware? Anything I missed?
It seems so. Regardless im remaking the character and continuing to play. But waypoint use should not be risky. Especially when repeating a task thats been done successfully at least 10-15 times prior.
I get that. i understood and signed a contract and due to purchasing a game and bringing up contract law i will go as far as saying the terms and service and end user liscense agreement states that i paid for a game and blizzard is supposed to deliver and im not going down the road all the complainers are going. Im not asking blizzard to “restore” my character im doing my part by telling blizzard through their only customer support channel what and where and how their game completly ruined my progress. It was NOT by blindly running into areas i shouldnt be. It was by using a waypoint that i was easily 5-6 levels Over leveled for.
My point is this post was to bring light to waypoint enemy spawn locations. The waypoints used to be safe until you traveled away from them up until yesterdays game update. Funny how 3 weeks of gameplay this didnt happen. They release a patch update and BAM waypoints are no longer safe. So in order to farm countess on hell mode your suggesting i “walk” there from rogue camp? Then why have waypoints ? Im just saying that simple error can be fixed. I paid for a product and if i expect blizzard to do anything to improve our gameplay but your right i shohld just you know…. Realise that hard core is only ment for the people on pc playing with 2500$ graphics cards bought off scalpers

pops is a troll dont even bother. he is used to blizz being awful and not caring about their players from years of abuse by this trash company. he has been treated like crap for so long he embraced it like a cuck (most blizz customers)

have you tried pressing buttons to attack the enemies back? it just might work, if it doesn’t work, that means blizz has implemented removing the controls during a loading screen, but not giving you invincibility likes tHEY SAID THEY WOULD, dadfasdfj;asdlkfahsdf

Yea as soon as my controller was vibrating i was like “yup here it comes spam up down left right for my full rejuvs” and nope nothing. Sadly during the loading screen you cannot control the walk-in and my minions were not auto moving when my character was dead all my minions were stacked up on top of each other right behind my dead body they did not move or engage in any of the other active minions on the map my minions as a necromancer would not activate until I was physically present in the game yet they killed me off before I was physically present in the game
So is there a good reason they call you splatmaster? I hope your mom didn’t give you that nickname. What you say is just incoherent rambling. Did I butt kiss them when I said the original developers made it that way long before actiblizz or did I do it when I said it was ridiculous and terrible design to kill you at waypoints? You can look at my history and see 60 posts clearly expressing discontent and “amazement” with the current state of the game. Are you mad that your waffle maker isn’t up to par? I might be too.
@bro 100% what you described as what happened I was not able to use my full rejuvenation potions on the loading screen but the enemies were happily killing me before I could get into the game

Very simply. I went to report a bug in the game. Blizzard directs all bugs here before support handles the bug in order to “triage” the bugs and work load.
Your very first messages to me were a long the lines of “you signed up for hardcore”
Well iv been playing this game and hard core since i was 12. I have beaten this game multiple times over my life and never was i killed by use of a waypoint during loading.
I HAVE died enough times in this game on characters to know what i did wrong. Improve my build and retry. Most likely to die over and over till i “get it right”
No where in the gameplay should use of waypoints loading kill off a character.
Now if you jump back through a portal into a hot mess of enemies then yes i understand that kind of mistake.
Now onto what makes you a troll pops….
You have zero input to this discussion instead of attacking screen names of players or thread users for one or using accusatory or inflammatory language to “stir the pot” or try to “make me feel worse” when in reality as SOON as my character died i was in game rebuilding him regardless if blizzard fixes it or not. I just figured by posting this that other hardcore characters can A) be aware that the last update allows you to die at waypoint and B) to follow instructions that blizzard asked of me by posting it here.
Now before you go onto “you shouldnt play hardcore because (insert your opinion here) i just felt id like to inform you that this is in fact not my “first day on the internets”(just waiting for you to say this) and another helpful quip about developers and video games and their support systems.
