The game looks great, for some reason I can’t get above 10fps even on the lowest settings. a fast tab to legacy mode and my fps skyrockets to normal
I don’t have the newest machine more mid-end but just for example
I Can play Skyrim SE with 400+ mods fully updated to 4k graphics at 60fps
I can play your blizzard games d3 and WoW at 60fps
I;ve ran through guides, I gave the game high priority, Run as administrator, I lowered every setting as low as possible, tried both windowed and full screen and can not go above 10fps I totter between 9 and 10, makes this game unplayable for me
I purchased it don’t regret that I did, but will not be playing - I could play in legacy mode but what’s the point in that? may as well fire d2 up normally where I can at least mess with mods
Overall love the aesthetics disappointed it wont run for me

What are your system specs?
Thanks bud but sadly I give up, I have gone down the specs rabbit hole with a few people already but I do appreciate you trying to help - quick reply is I meet the minimum requirements as posted by Blizzard but don’t exceed them, I’ve been told to chalk it up to the games optimization. I listed the games above because although d2r looks amazing on low settings especially it should not tax my system more than the games above
I truly thank you for offering to help

Well if it’s the video card, hopefully 2022 will be good. Maybe we’ll finally get some decently priced cards. I’m still holding onto my 1080Ti because of the prices.
I have Geforce 750 and 8k Ram.
My settings are all set to lowest and i have completed the Game (online) on Hardcore +SSF with a Bow Amazon.
The game spikes from time to time , when i alt + tab it freezes the pc for ~ a min or so and i need to restart the game every ~2 hours or so.
If you run 400+ for 4k Skyrim and 60 fps WoW , you should have no problem.
Hello. I have a 970 GTX and a Ryzen 5 1600. I’m also having trouble running this game smoothly. My guess is the game isn’t optimized very well. I can run the game but only if I turn everything down to low including resolution scale to 50. At 1080p it doesn’t look great, but it works. Setting frame rate cap to 60 helps a lot of people too. There is a dynamic resolution scaling option too. Not sure if that will help or not but I have it checked. Hope you can get it working or that they will fix this in a patch.
400+ mods (moded to 4k textures) 60fps consistent for skyrim - and yeah thats sorta what I am getting out not sure why on lowest setting I can surpass 10fps in d2r however can reach the framrates in other games as I listed above
Thanks for replying

have you checked if its something stupid, like the framecap option is set to 10?
that would explain the jumps from 9 to 10 but never 11 or higher. Or lower then 9.
The reason people are asking for your specs is so they can at least make an attempt to figure out what might be causing such low FPS. I’ve seen people with laptops that just literally barely scrape the bottom of the barrel with regard to minimum specs but whom can play the game better than you seem to be able to. So it’s worth at least trying to help out of we can.
think it might have to do with your graphics card power and the native resolution of your screen because the game wants to play at native unless you manually lower it to 720p (using nvidia or amd software) i can see it being a problem if you only meet the minimum requirements and have a 4k monitor.
