If these posts with so many likes and comments arent visible to them, then it means they dont see the forums.
I post similar comments to Rhykker’s, Dbruski’s and MrLlamma’s videos, but they ask the same so allowing bear and one pack of wolves, at least that, is the only way since so many asking for it.
Reddit now, i have no clue about it.
And for this topic, since everything is frozen, and we get not a single info about if we will have another balance changes, i have nothing to say. I honestly am tired of all this bullshiit, of all this begging for a decent game, for changes for viable specs for us who dont f-ing want to play sorc and hammy for another year.
I am not trying to argue with you of course
I just dont know what else to do, so this company start making changes, to make viable some specs which are terrible.
It’s still a good game, but yes I agree with you that it’s frustrating to see obvious areas where making a targeted buff would be completely safe, and yet it is ignored. I do think they read the forums occasionally, but not very often so it’s a matter of luck that they happen to peruse the right topics at the right time.
Taking a few minutes each day to add a comment to each of the discussions that are important to the class keeps them high on the list and visible. Pretty much everyone, including streamers, have voiced the exact same opinions on improving druid summoner, so I am very hopeful.
if dev team wants to focus on its damage, reduce flying animation time and AI attack interval, remove curse or replace the curse with some effects of reducing AR of monster so as to “blind”, so that curse overriding is not a problem, and that it can benefits from amplify damage or decripify
About other summons:
allow the zoo
or you raise the number limit(Raven 20, SW 15, DW 7, GZ 3)
or: you add procs to each, Raven has Dim Vision already, SW can have Deadly Strike, DW with Open Wounds and Grizzly Crushing Blow. The chance increase with level, upper limit can be like 20% or 30% to make it not so IMBA.
100% agree. Summon Druids are seriously lacking in potency. So many people want to play them, but hesitate because it can be a super slow, punishing build. Blizzard, don’t be afraid to step on the gas a bit more firmly here. Either increase the summon amount, summon variety, damage output, or most optimally, all of the above.
I still hope they consider adding an Arctic Blast synergy to Spirit Wolves to boost the cold damage and chill duration even further.
This change would have a two-fold benefit by adding more value to Arctic Blast which has been a sub-par skill for decades and also open up the elemental tree for an arctic blast-spirit wolf hybrid build.
Hopefully it’ll be good changes. We, the Summoner community, have brainstormed a lot of great solutions. It just depends which way they choose to take.
I will give summoner druid a try no matter what. With the new SWolves and new Act 3 fire merc, at least the summoner will have more damage types to handle PIs. And the new ravens, as much as I dislike them, will add so much damage where you cast them.
I surely hope they will allow more pets active at the same time though. Having just finished a SSF guardian last night, I seriously doubt a pure summoner druid (as is in 2.4) can survive Hell Act 5. Some of the guest monsters are just so fast.
Maybe it’s just me. I never passed Hell Act 2 with a pure summoner. I play SSF only, and don’t like to skip monsters. My summons couldn’t keep up with the mummies’ revive (champions and uniques).
Oh, well if you’re going SSF then no. I’m honestly very surprised you got that far SSF. Once summoner gets to 70 and is loaded with gear and skill charms he can do a5 Hell. Getting up to that point is practically impossible, though. It’s doable, just not easy and not fun.
And it’s not at all balanced compared to the rest of the classes and builds.
Yes, I am referring directly to the Maxroll Summon Necro Guide (http s://d2.maxroll.gg/d2planner-ptr/2i0106gt#1) which I will copy-paste here for your reference. Note; Maxroll’s recommendation is 53pts in summoning tree and 49pts in PnB tree:
Yeah, as you said, not easy and not very fun. Painful actually. A lot of retreating and pulling to separate the skeletons and the mummies, but only when space allows.
Let’s see what they’ve come up with… I’m still extremely skeptical that they can make a character that relies on AI vs AI monster attacks interesting or challenging… Any skill or ability that relies on RNG, computer AI, and has very little player input, or skill involved (other than tele-stomping), is quite boring in my opinion…
Would much rather Blizzard focused their energies on making Wind, Fire, and SS druids, or other underused characters more interesting and rewarding to play - Druid summons were always designed to augment these builds… If they wanna make a “Zoo Druid” they can do it in Diablo 4 in my opinion.
Everyone seems obsessed about making the druid summon tree “a thing”. Yet no one is advocating for a “Curse-only Necro” or a “Defensive Aura Paladin” or a “Combat Masteries Barbarian” or a “Shadow Disciplines Assassin”. Wouldn’t a Barbarian that invests all skills in Combat skills and Combat masteries, with lots of combat skill variety and high DPS be more interesting than spending time developing a “Zoo Druid”? Barbarian needs more attention and variety than the Druid if you ask me…
I dunno… Hopefully this is the last time they mess around with summon druid (it’s a lost cause), and just hurry up and launch the ladder…
fyi, I’m a Druid main, I just find summons extremely boring, and think they are best left as 1-pt wonders and meat shields… I think summons worked fine in the earlier versions of 2.4, and would be much more interested in buffs and improvements to the Elemental and Shape-Shifting skill trees
