Visual Feedback: Sunder Charm Skins

With how much visual fidelity has been put into the HD remaster of Diablo II, I would like to suggest visual feedback around these new Sunder Charms. I understand the PTR ended recently, and we won’t officially see these charms in D2R until the Ladder start on October 6th. That said, I did want to provide some visual feedback of the current visual direction of Sunder Charms if there is some time to adjust.

Personally, I’m not in favor of the current implementation of just doing a color shift to indicate what type of Sunder Charm is in your inventory. What I would love to see is if we leaned more into the Lore and how that could be visually shown on these new charms.

My suggestions are as follows:

The Black Cleft (Magic)
Have the charm glowing with wisps of magic. This charm can be slightly translucent, and the visuals take inspiration from LOTR, Dark Crystal, and the Sorceress Magic itself.

The Bone Break (Physical)
This charm should feel strong, and sturdy. Something along the lines of made of metal, and grabbing inspiration from the strength of the Barbarians.

The Cold Rupture (Cold)
Lean into an icy frost bitten visuals, just off the top of my head similar to the visuals just showcased in episode 5 of the Ring of Power show.

The Crack of the Heavens (Lightning)
This charm can be made of light, and could have wisps of sparks.

The Flame Rift (Fire)
What if this charm was chard and still had lit ambers, similar to if you took a log of a campfire, where it has darken burnt spots with red glow, but also has spots that still aren’t burnt.

The Rotting Fissure (Poison)
Poison in D2 is green, so what if this charm is dripping with green poison, kind of like you dumped a poison potion on it. This charm could also showcase poisoned blackened veins.

Those are just some suggestions I have off the top of my head, but please totally run with it. That said, I understand this might fall on def ears, but I mention this because I personally think D2R is beautiful, and I would love it if these new charms were just a cool looking as the rest of the game.
