Just a quick question: Equipping the same unique x2 times grants the bonuses?
I just dropped a second Shadowfang with my barb and having them both equipped the character effects table doesnt seem to account for the increased health and man steal (should be 18% but it points out only 9 for a single sword). Is this an oversight on the table, or it doesnt work for reals?
On classes that can dual-wield (barbs or assassins with claws) weapons have mostly “local stats” that only apply when you attack with that weapon and don’t share with the other weapon, life steal and mana steal are local stats.
Except in this case, as DarkMaster points out, local stats like leach, ctc, cb, ow, ds, etc. only apply when the weapon that has them actually makes the attack (or hit depending on stat). So if you use 2x Soul Flay, each attack will get 9%. Attacks like WW or Frenzy alternate weapons, but still do not attack at once, so you will never get 18% in a single attack if you have 2 weapons that each have 9%.
Yes, it does everything it says problem here is OP assuming your weapon stats apply to your other weapon. Logically just makes most sense that those stats aren’t stacked otherwise dual wielding with headstriker as secondary would see a lot more use with 100%+ DS
Yes you are right…In retrospect I brain farted! I kinda expected the table to show something (the correct probably would have been x2 entries of mana/life steal I suppose) and I without thinking reached the conclusion it would be 18%.
Yeah it would be nice if when they had created the advanced stats tab if they made it advanced enough to consider dual wield weapon situations! Oh well, still an improvement over the base game, IMO.
While we’re lamenting UI limitations:
I’d also like it if they made the sheet damage calcs actually correct, at least in terms of taking into account Grief flat damage, etc.
It would be cool to see BPs reached as well as amount needed for next BP or something for IAS, FHR, FCR, FBR, etc.
this is an underrated QoL update that would be massively enjoyed. and would help a lot of people understand what gear to wear. some people just slap on FHR or FCR but are stuck in between two BPs and don’t even know it, and it would be smarter to switch items than have the stats not being used.
I mean the game already does the calculations, so it “knows” your damage, so I’d think they would have everything they need w/o having to ask Maxroll, but…
Yes they basically just admitted to copy/pasting the stash code from D3 into D4. Which when you have a party of 4 is fine, but in an MMO is very not fine
