Use of gold in endgame?

Aside resurrecting the merc often, is there anything to do with gold?

Only thing i can think off is gambling vendors, but even then im not sure if they can drop really valuable rare stuff even at the very lowest of probabilities, like a shako or whatever.

Anyone can shed som light over this?

gamble sir, u looking any item specific u can gamble, maybe take u months to getting

or if u gambling circlet, u gonna look any circlets 2/20/x/x/x or 2/20/30/x/x/x

It’s used to gamble amulets to craft caster amulets.

I did gamble for 5 mil gold on amulets and rings. Got crap, better luck next time.

dont gamble rings and amulets.
gamble amulets to craft only.
gamble circlets as mentioned above (google a guide for that).

Yes gambling circs is by far the best. Over the years from both classic d2 and d2r, I’ve gotten plenty of kiras, some griffs and lots of nice blues/rares with fcr/frw… but of course like everything else in this game, you ain’t getting crap even with 20 mill so don’t have any expectations…

Good tip, be sure to use your best gheeds ÷ edge runeword to lower vendor prices as much as possible.
