my vampire gaze was 242 defense and a grim helm
upped it to bone visor with lem ko and perfect diamond, after it was upped defense went to 202 and now str requirement is higher but defense goes down? please fix. it was perfect vamprire gaze and cham socket. sooo exspensive. thanks
You got a bad roll on the change. Grim helm = 60-125 base defense, Bone visage = 100-157 base defense. See post below.
thats kind of depressing. it was s perfect gaze now its worse after upped, shafstop works great,
As Teknomancer said: a good Exceptional roll can be better than a bad Elite roll. Upgrading isn’t always worth it, it’s often like playing the lottery. Your case is an expensive downgrade both in terms of strength requirement and defense.
For those who don’t know where this info comes from: http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/items/weaponsandarmor.shtml
Base armors and weapons have 3 different versions:
- Normal (no character level requirement)
- Exceptional (min character level requirement is about 25)
- Elite (min character level requirement is about 50)
As an example: Bone Helm, Grim Helm and Bone Visage are the normal/exceptional/elite versions of an upgrade path (and they look the same just like the 3 different versions of other upgrade paths).
did i mention i saved up 4 ist for that gaze and chamed it, imagine someone’d saving up their runes to buy something super nice for their char because thats all their wealth, and found a cham, super happy about putting it in, make a new char. get a socket quest, and socketed it with cham rune. oh wait i can upped it like its said on cube recipe. so i follow the instruction and upped it, now its turn worse, its like you got jack and just wanted to quit the game.
Why do you spend 4 Ist on a Vampire Gaze if that’s all your wealth? In that case I’d pick up a lower roll for Um or Mal and spend the 4 Ist on something else with better return on investment.
because i like perfect stuff. lol dont you?
Buying luxury products is a bad idea when you are poor. I could probably have fun with a Ferrari or Lamborghini but I’d buy one only if it were a smaller fraction of my wealth.
