Updated Quest Rewards

Here’s a list of current rewards and suggested changes. Most of them for things that have outdated rewards after normal.

Act I

Sister’s Burial

Current Reward - Bow Merc, all 3 Difficulties

Normal - Bow Merc
Nightmare - Rare Exceptional Body Armor, Revives Merc (if dead)
Hell - Rare Elite Body Armor, Revives Merc (if dead)

In all 3 difficulties I think it should be Leather, Hard Leather, or Studded Leather (and the appropriate varients).

Act III

Blade of the Old Religion

Current Reward - Iron Wolf Merc and a Ring (From Ormus)

Normal - Rare Normal Sword or Shield, Revives Merc (if dead)
Nightmare - Rare Exceptional Sword or Shield, Revives merc (if dead)
Hell - Rare Elite Sword or Shield, Revives merc (if dead)

Act V

Rescue at Mt. Arreat

Current Reward - Ral Ort Tal (All Difficulties)

Normal - Ral Ort Tal (Ancient’s Pledge)
Nightmare - Shael Eth (Rhyme)
Hell - Nef Lum (Smoke)

The goal of this one ^ is to make runewords that are appropriately useful for someone on their first playthrough. They are also runes that are relatively decent to find in those difficulties; but not exceptionally rare.

A1: no…A3…absolutly NOT…i like the rings reward

while i’d dig ethereal Zweihander/Naga for lld…the chance to find those are 80 time lower than getting a good end-game ring

rare sword//shield dont compete with end-game runewords//uniques even with perfect rolls

Rare weapons could compete with runewords if they lifted the restrictions they placed on them (dual leech) and adjusted the algorithm affix/suffix restriction to clvl negating low level mods you’ve out leveled like mob experience is reduced after +5 (?) difference #makeraresgreatagain
