Unexpected error

When launching the game, the following appears: An unexpected error has occurred. I cannot start the game, I only have the report code to send to BLIZZARD.

What is the error report code?

I’m finding nothing relating to that error code.

Yes. This is an error during the first launch of the game.

Can you post your system specifications? (CPU, RAM, graphics card)

If you don’t know, you can hit the Windows key, type “dxdiag” and press enter.

After it loads, you’ll want to look at “Processor” and “Memory”… Then switch to the “Display 1” tab, then look at “Name”.

Have you checked if your system drivers are up to date? (Graphics is the important one)

Hmm… Any other games having trouble?

I don’t have problems with other games. Diablo Immortal, Diablo IV. I haven’t installed Diablo III yet. I also haven’t installed SC 1 and SC 2 yet.

I’m afraid you’ll have to contact Blizzard on this one. One problem is that since D2:R is a financial dead weight for Blizzard, they don’t monitor the forums for this game, not even the “tech support” forum, so you’ll have to submit a support ticket to get their eyes on the issue.

Thank you for your help. I was looking for this address to report a problem and it always redirected me to the forum.

That’s corporate greed for you, pinching pennies wherever they can in order to line their pockets, even if it means sacrificing customer support.

I wouldn’t expect much from submitting a ticket either… Just to warn you.
