Necromancer:
Poison Dagger changed to Poison Dip:
New effect: Adds poison damage to any weapon.

Barbarian:
Increased Stamina changed to Bully.
Effect: Chance to deal a Crushing Blow and cause Open Wounds with same hit.

Druid:

  • Spirits now have 95% Damage Reduction and 95% Resistance to all Elements
  • Can now shapeshift between the two transformations without the need to transform back to human form

Paladin:
Vengeance: This attack now always hits (ignores targets defense)
Conversion: This attack now always hits (ignores targets defense)
Sacrifice: Damage to Self changed from 8% to 2 %
Smite: No longer can deal crushing blow
Concentration: changed damage modifier to Blessed Hammer from 50% to 25%


General Balances:

Increased Damage reduction cap from 50% to 60%
Lowered Maximum Resistance cap from 95% to 85%
New Resistance modifiers to NM and Hell modes:
NM resistances from -40% to -100%
Hell resistances from -100% to -200%
Increased Walk Run speeds across the board by about 25%, including both players and monsters

Only one unique arrow quiver and only one unique bolt quiver? They’d become mandatory for missile weapon builds, just like Anni and Torch are for everyone. Add magic and rare quivers, too, to have some variety. No slot should have an obvious BiS item, and these are particularly bad, since you could choose only between a normal quiver or one of those unique.

No, that’d be yet another mandatory pre-buff.
Or leave it, but make the buff expire after unequipping this bow (just like summons from oskills do).

Why oskill instead of aura when equipped? Having RMB locked by aura is annoying.

What about durability? Without durability those eth items would be strictly superior to non-eth ones.

What about AR? Poison Dagger adds a lot of AR, so the change is actually a nerf to an already weak skill.

Not sure if this is your suggestion, a “joke”, or what…

So basically a slightly better more expensive IK Helm? Ugh.

This would be nice in concept but a 20 point investment for 6% CB and 7% OW is super meh especially since Barb builds are already starving for skill points.

Going to give this a hard ‘no’, unfortunately. As a few have stated, and I will echo - we do not need more runewords. Runewords are a stigma on this game and continue to wreak havoc on itemization.

Knockback and Zeal…dead on arrival.

Also - no new runewords please. Fix underlying issues like the poison bug. Double the AR gain from pts into Dex, add base damage to all weapons and add DR to armor.

I like the Sorc dual hydra wake of inferno build there haha

And don’t forget about nerfing stamina. I mean in late game and end gear, characters never run out of stamina. I think it’s about time to balance this more. Hard points into vitality should provide less stamina and stamina should drain faster in general. I mean every end game build can never stop running. It’s ridiculous.

Hey, on hell playthrough those few mobs that drain all stamina in 1 hit can be a bit dangerous.

I’m assuming you came up with both ideas at the same time, and I have to wonder, why would you give bows 1-99 gold find, but crossbows get 1-99 boost max damage? How did you put these two items on the same pedestal?

Zeal isn’t that great to begin with, and largely rides on the back of the rest of the paladin class. Not sure why someone would use this other than to say that they did.

But why use this over more caster damage?

Should be “grants level x holy freeze” so that it stacks with Doom. The cold mastery rank is way too high at 15, it should be set at 10.

Why? Resistances are a boring balancing point for sets of gear. Players could easily fit 500 allres on a set if they wanted to. Increasing the debuffs in NM and Hell modes just shrinks what items should be used in each slot to hit new res caps. It doesn’t add anything to the game other than to make strong, stat bloated items that much stronger.

This is a really bad idea.

some of these “patch notes” (your suggestions) are out of line, and some of them are super underwhelming.

shadow master for necro??? Yeah ok, cool, now i get another minion who will basically suicide, which cannot summon minions.
1-6 valkyrie? bruh the Valkyrie you can summon using the “Peace” runeword is level 15 and it sucks so much its not even worth summoning.
and then there’s the fact you need a bloody zod rune to make it, like no man, trang ouls is better than that garbo runeword.

and then …
+33 fire golem + fire mastery + enchant for relatively cheap runes on a PALADIN EXCLUSIVE.
dude, that’s way too much in one item and paladins are already one of, if not the strongest class in the game, i mean that fire golem can essentially compete with a fully leveled necro fire golem with no skillpoint investment, and thanks to fire mastery actually become better than it, minus the fact you won’t have golem mastery but who cares, you’re gonna be constantly resummoning it since its chance when struck, so not only will you have a lvl 33 beefy fire golem with +fire mastery added on top, but it will constantly explode and do AOE damage and resummon itself, which removes the need for golem mastery entirely.

the quivers are horribly balanced as well. they are not even in the same ballpark. who the hell would want +gold find if they can get +damage???

Now we don’t need arrows. Next ladder they’ll do away with potions.

In 10 ladders you won’t even have to farm - go into a zone, press one button, all mobs die. That’s what they did in Diablo 3 basically and see how well it went. Time to uninstall I guess.

And instead of buffing uniques so it’s actually interesting to farm and equipe different items, they’re creating new runewords and introducing even more power creep.
We’re witnessing the killing of the game (assuming it “survived” after the original introduction of runewords back then).

And yes, I see that they’ve fixed a couple of uniques. Laughable. There are posts on these forums detailing very well how dozens upon dozens of uniques coild be fixed. They could hire those posters, you know.

Trying to fix enigma’s teleport is a step in the right direction but it does not do much as long as people are pigeon-holed into farming with sorc still… :confused:

The class changes look fine but there is SO MUCH MORE that should be done and will never be done in a reasonable time at this pace!!!
Also barb needs an attack rating rework (as do other melees). The issue where a caster clears whole screen while a melee chips at one enemy at a time should be fixed by severely nerfing casters. Who knows, maybe then the game will require thought and actual teamplay instead of mindless one button mashing on the part of caster builds.
