  2. Click Report Player For:

That’s all you can do about it. They aren’t going to have a GM go in and just police game chats. If whatever someone is saying bothers you, ignore them.

Well they could have deemed what was said as not “hate speech” also I doubt this game has many actual moderators assigned to it so it could take even more time.

User suggested he was going to go on a shooting spree and kill “derogatory term”. That’s hate speech. No one is actually moderating the game.

Maybe they logged in but had chat bug, so they didn’t see it

The game is a player policed game. Thats why the report function is there. No it’s not going to immediately work… Just report, ignore and move on.

I’d be more concerned with the shooting spree then the non-existent “hate speech” but hey priorities right?

It’s not just to prevent hate speech but to get rid of the bot spam. You’re limited to how many people you can block / mute.

There are no live moderators for any Blizzard game. They don’t do that.

They depend on player reports. Right click report captures the account information and chat logs for GM review. The GMs take reports from all the Blizzard games.

!!! Shooting sprees are a massive threat.

Ok there is a special means to deal with this.

Document the battletag, exactly time, chat channel etc.

Come to the website and use the real life threat report ticket. It is technically under WoW, but you can use it for another game if needed. Just specify this is in Diablo 2 Resurrected.

NEVER use the real life threat category for anything but a valid threat. BUT if you need it please do file one.

this is the internet, its normal for people to spam naughty words and make empty threats you need to grow a thicker skin an ignore it or ignore the player

There is no such thing as “hate speech.” Just ignore him if you don’t like what he said.

I can’t imagine what the original D2 would have been like with people complaining about “hate speech”
