In Normal, I was able to socket and received the Xbox Achievement ‘Socket to me’ for socketing a gem into a shield. Since Nightmare, when I hoover with a gem or rune over an item with sockets, the sockets disappear. If I hoover the cursor only, the sockets appear. I held off using the Larzuk socket until Hell and hoped this would fix the glitch. Larzuk added a single socket to my shield but I was unable to insert a perfect diamond. I dropped shield/diamond and my friend was able to socket. I can use the shield with the ‘resist all’ stat. Alternatively, I have created new toons and uninstalled/re-installed the game. Any ideas?
