Okay there are a few other reasons the install can hang up:
- Security/malware apps blocking permission on the drive.
- Throttling from the ISP for large files.
- Blocks on the network (school and workplaces often have this).
- A bad DNS that can’t communicate with the patch server (you can swap DNS).
