Both Akara & Charsi have great items but lvl 1 characters are unable to hold enough gold to purchase them. Akara has a great wand for 116k gold but lvl 1 characters cannot hold more than 100k gold until they level up. But when a character levels up and can carry enough gold the vendor stock changes and the great items will no longer be available. It’s like dangling a golden carrot that can never be reached.
I’m not sure that is much of an issue. If you are unable to hold enough gold, gold that is placed in your personal stash tab will be used.
Up to 2.5 million can be stored in the personal stash tab.
My personal stash tab . . . doh - thanks! I keep every toons gold in the furthest right group tab so that when they die it doesn’t all go poof. I didn’t know vendor purchases would grab whatever from my personal stash tab.
Yeah early on in a season if I’m on a character that is at risk of dying, I try to keep a “backup” fund in the shared tabs since it’s protected, but still keep some in private stash for this reason.
Another option is simply to try to remove it from personal stash before doing something you expect to be challenging, although that is of course not fool-proof, as lots of deaths can’t be easily anticipated.
Vendors won’t refresh their goods until you leave town, so you are safe to leave the vendor screen after seeing something you want, transfer the gold to your private stash (if too big to carry) and then go back to vendor, at least.
10k.
And the personal stash hint has been pointed out already…
it’s been like that for over 20 years (at least in d2/lod). ;-D
And this is also important:
So store your gold where it’s save and only add it to personal stash when needed. (That was for OP, not insidious)
