Playing on 32:9, with BIG black bars (have played since beta) and while I still have a problem with it and I still think it should be up to the INDIVIDUAL to decide if they want to play with their full screen in SINGLE PLAYER. I have conceded somewhat, but only to not hear the whining by the PvP’ers or the ones that say it “breaks the game”, for who else if it’s only for SP? Does that really bother you if you can’t even see it on your 16:9 screen and have no interaction with that individual?
However, the BIGGEST issue is that we are still having these dumb black bars, getting performance penalty and I am getting major slowdowns after playing a few minutes due to them. How is it in “fullscreen” you cannot select OTHER resolutions. This is such a simple thing in other games. If you’re going to put these stupid bars up and tax over what I would normally be incurring as a tax on my system, as least give me the option to go 2560x1440 or some other resolution in fullscreen.
As far as the argument - “Why don’t you just play in windowed mode”. That is not even an argument really wasting my breathe on. People that play in windowed mode for anything (willingly), when there are other options that is. I am not even sure how you enjoy yourself like that. I personally would choose not to play the game at all that way, every…single…time. With the mouse cursor going off the screen, the bar on the top of your client window, it just is such a crap experience imo.
Please for the love of god, either fix the black bar issue (especially in SP), or give us other resolutions to play in fullscreen other than native.
