Seriously, anyone not excited about the upcoming class changes, and changes overall, are not fans with the wellbeing of the game jn mind. They are old heads stuck in the 2000’s that can’t adapt, can’t accept change and don’t care about improvement, only their selfish whims.
They pride themselves of doing things the old way even if it’s inferior.
There is no difference between the 1.09-1.10 update than what they are doing now.
Blizzardy addressing many widely accepted issues, mercs and many melee builds to name a few, that insisting on #nochanges is nothing but willfully holding the game back from beneficial chamges that would increase game quality and enjoyment for many people- just not you tho.
Ironically I think most people who played back then (including me) are excited that they’re updating the game. If you played through the classic → LOD transition and 1.09 → 1.10 transition, this is nothing.
A real purist wouldn’t play any patch after 1.10, because everything after 1.10 was post-Blizzard North. There aren’t many real purists out there.
(I don’t know what to call the people who are obsessed with 1.14d, but I have a hard time calling them purists.)
Unfortunately, the purists actually won. Blizzard doesn’t know enough about their game to have any real confidence in their decisions, so they just added a tiny handful of bad runewords, and we’re left with the exact same meta that has always existed.
I wanted an interesting meta where we got to theorycraft and try new things, but Grief, Infinity, and Enigma will still fill every item slot they possibly can.
They actually listened to the purists … not sure what OP is talking about. I love the changes we’ve been waiting for this for 10 years. As long as there’s no rune/gem stacking, ploot, or droprate changes, purists win.
I did 30 minutes of runs in the morning before work. Then when I got home listened to a couple podcasts and farmed for 2 or 3 hours. Normally if I farm at full speed I can get a hr a day.
I don’t keep count of the runs because they’re so fast. I just turn my brain off and gogogo. Trav has been the most consistent for me and I kind of think it’s a broken farm spot
For Trav I prefer the AoE of WW. The build I run is like: Max - WW, BO, Weapon Mastery of choice. I maxed out Find Item but I think you only really need 50%. 1 Point into your passives. 1 Point into Berserk for Ismail Vilehand (He’s a jerk.)
Exactly, D2 was the first PC game Ive ever played, for years until I started WoW in 2004 and I’ve played D2 on and off for nearly 2 decades. I was crying tears of joy to finally hear it gets a remaster and was happy already with just new graphics. Getting updates and maybe even some content in the feature or an expansion was all I ever wanted, no idea why people want to stay it the way it was back then, I mean if I want the old d2 I simply start it up again since the graphics were never a problem for any D2 lover.
Finally we got devs who rebooted the game and god damn let me throw my money at them for expansions. Nothing will every come close to D2 in it’s genre
