Never played a throw barb before so I decide to dismantle my bowazon to make this.
It uses the act 1 Merc paired with Faith so the barb become a machine gun.

1 point into Berserk and 1 into blade mastery for the phys immunes
The other points spent on barb goodies like speed and res.

It’s a very fun to play, viable build, that can clear any zone in the game with ease, just struggles a bit with bosses compared to regular barbs.

Uploaded version 2.0 of the throw barb

Using Gface with an ias/max dmg jewel keeps the 6.5 fpa while fanaticism is active, so the zon helm is not needed anymore, while overall damage is increased (and cutting the cost of the build by a huge margin). Bosses take a lot less time to kill and can now compete with ww barb

Great execution!
I found a rare fool’s flying axe in hc. Which weapon is used for AR calculation? Right hand or both? Because then I will pair it with a gimmershred.

If I remember correctly ias only counts for main hand weapon not offhand (throwing),
For attack rating you are looking at independent numbers for each weapon, just like dmg, so both count. good luck in hc!

A question, could I theoretically use ethereal gimmershreds? Does the throw skill fill them up?

that would work yes, at lvl 27 throwing mastery you have 59% chance not to consume quantity, and replenish quantity on crit strike. very cool mods, from what I’ve seen the counter never goes down

I tried out the barb in single player. If you max double swing and have a reaper merc you can kill bosses with crushing brow from giulli only. Double swing is super fast.

did not even think of that, great observation for faster 1 target kill as double swing is maxed as a synergy.
btw managed to get a 209 eth lacerator. I will be testing today + warshrike against dual warshrikes

Casting battle cry first is even faster. I don’t like 50% chance to flee with lacerators. I’d put them on switch and hit until am is cast then switch back to shrikes.
