Hi
I was wondering if anyone played blizzard sorc on console and have any thoughts on it. I haven’t respecced yet, because I am a bit curious as to how it will work. In particular, I am worried that aiming blizzard might be an issue. Anyone know?
A followup question would also be, if you don’t recommend blizzard sorc on console for this or some other reason, which build works well?
Thanks

I tested blizzard for a bit but it seems that it and many other spells that require precise placement are difficult to use atm. I opted to go frozen orb/firewall although firewall suffers from the same issue. Frozen orb is easy enough to control. If you want to get specific about which particular enemy you want to take down, you miss a lot, especially with monsters who have high speed. I would rather play blizzard but until they solve targeting for these it’s going to be a frustrating experience.

Yeah, I’m sticking with fireball for now, and made Leaf to boost fire. Fun enough to play, and fun is all I want.
Blizzard likes to target lock, sometimes you try to cast it and nothing happens if you’re behind an object. Good luck getting it to cast in the middle of the screen unless you got enemies or otherwise it goes to the edge. Better off going orb at this point in time if you’re doing cold.
Yup, blizzard is useless atm, cant aim it to make it effective, was what I played on original D2, but this time on console pretty much forced to trade some dps from blizzard for the accuracy with orbs which is netting higher dps.
Also crafted leaf to boost up inferno to add in the 2nd element and dmg in orb cooldowns. Working pretty well atm, and easier to max out orb than blizzard so thats a plus.
I play blizzard. It still the best aoe damage. It does have issues without using a mouse, but it just takes strategy to run out, cast then hide in cover again. It’s really not that bad. I’ve beaten hell and farm ancient tunnel and cows just fine. Make sure act 2 merc has insight and treachery and you’ll be fine.
