Three fire facets are better than flickering flame.

i guess im too lazy to get the facets or thought they’d cost more than a vex rune to get :frowning:

nice

20 characters minimum

In my experience: no. This uses runes that do not exist in my games

Very interesting stuff!

I’m interested in doing a zeal pally next… not sure what variant is strongest between this and tesladin….

i’ve had my fair amount of play with tesladin for months… I’m going to say this is much stronger because the AoE aura (holy fire) is such a higher level than the holy shock from dual dreams = the range of AoE is much farther (can hit from screens away).

for at least clearing stuff (i’m not so sure about ubers)

You can have both. Dual Dream (shield + helm) and hand of justice + dragon (armor) for lvl 30 holy shock and 30 holy fire.

Its really cool with maxed conviction aura. But very expensive…

yes, this is true. I forgot I had done this pre-patch 2.4. and it was mediocre… since then the offensives auras definitely got a big buff so I would believe it’s a lot better than it was when I tried it lol

Oh my goodness this guys voice is depressing to listening to. I couldn’t even finish the video.

I know, right. Sounds like he’s high as a kite and half asleep. I like the build and am gonna try it out on SP. But, yeah, really hard to listen to him in that vid.

Not that I agree with them buffing paladins more than they already are though. Someone at blizz has a hard-on for pallys and the bosses look the other way. So damn obvious. There will never be class balance as long as pallys exist.

I have similar build in non ladder. Instead of conviction, I got holy freeze. My merc has infinity.

Dual Dream has the same problem as going for holy shock aura in general: you can get pulses that do no damage several times in succession, this is due to the min damage being so low. Holy freeze and Holy Fire auras do not have this problem, so they do more reliable pulse damage.

it’s good on some merc though

it’s afk because you have to afk for 15 seconds to kill one shaman

How does this do on p8?

I played this build over a decade ago. It costs far too many high runes for most players to ever experience. Fun, but with most things related to D2… most won’t come close.

Which is why I prefer D3, and soon to be D4. Immortal is too much like a “diet” D3.

It slaps cheeks in P8. It breaks fire immunes, and does almost its full damage anyway.

so much this. pally and sorc, all day long at blizz.

I tried that build…
It was not near as powerful as dual-dream with fortitude and grief… not even close.

Tried the pure fire route… HoJ and dual-dragons… was not as strong as dual-dream grief fort.

Traded away the dragon armor and hand of justice… ended up loosing on the deal… seems you never get the runes invested back.

these videos… are they made on normal difficulty or something (did not watch)?
I assure you in hell mode (well, the 1st 3 acts it sorta works that way), you can’t just walk around and stuff drops to it’s death… well, I suppose you could, but you’d be walking around a dang long time waiting for the pulses to do thier thing…
Much faster to use it in conjunction with zeal, abd even then, not nearly as efficient as what Sorc and Amazon can dish out.
Not even close.

no, this was Hell mode. I walked through all the acts shortly after with the same results.

not saying this is the best build in the game… i’ve also played every character since launch and every build also. I would agree that it doesn’t come close to some other classes.
