I would be fine with p8 added for all, people that play in parties defending it should be exclusive to parties don’t get that partying is its own reward, you’re doing it for the wrong reasons if for loot or xp.
I believe Solo players and parties should be able to access the same amount of loot regardless of whom they play with or alone, that is the most modern and fair approach to a competitive game with a ranking system, or you could just scrap the idea of having leaderboards, cause there’s not much point competiting against voice coordinated parties anyway, as it currently stands.
Even if you make loot the same for all, they can still level much faster to 90+ so it won’t fix the unfairness that currently exist.
Simple. Because you want to be able to bypass the ‘risk’ posed by the other players in the game and keep all the loot for yourself and avoid being contested by said players.
Once again we come full circle to the crux of the issue: Greed and Envy.
Greed is the core of the issue. It is the underlying reason you wish to bypass the risk of being contested for the loot.
Why is so hard to admit that the reason for asking for the implementation of the /players x cheat code on Battlenet is simply to be able to get more loot with less effort and hassle, to not have runes snatched from under your nose, not getting pk-ed etc. Not the wellbeing of the game or the community, but your own selfish reasons.
I see you also suffer from smooth brain syndrome. Let me spell it for you:
When you play solo using /p8 cheat code you emulate a game with 7 other people, increasing the health, damage and no drop chance of the mobs, but without the other players actually being in the game.
In a normal game with other 7 people, each of the said people can contest your loot, can pk you, can farm the same area etc.
When you eliminate the above ‘risk’ posed by the above mentioned other players, you make your farming experience easier, less stressful, you don’t need to adapt your playstyle etc. ergo it involves less effort.
No.
The primary challenge is to be able to farm in a game with 7 other people. I need to find that said group, I need to adapt my gameplay of that said group, I need to take in account and take precautions for griefers and leachers. I also need to have a build that not only can clear p8…but one that can do it fast, because people might leave the game.
You simply just want to erase these obstacles and challenges by introducing /p8 cheat code, therefor making the game easier.
Than I am wondering why do you advocate for /players8 on Battlenet if you can easily and consistently farm in a game with 7 other players, and everything that I mentioned above are non-issues and are not challenges.
Spoke like a true politician. Spinning the facts and words. I noticed, and I find it amusing, that when you remain without arguments you try to hang by any thread and turn it in a debate about anything else than the initial subject.
No problem. Let me again spell it for you.
Time is a resource. That time spent with all the logistics represents an obstacle between you and that juicy loot. Would you make you happy if I’ve used the term obstacle rather than challenge?
While I agree on a couple of things: ploot/charm inventory … I ma totally against P8! I mean, they took a 20+ year old game, used programmers unfamiliar with the games code, gave it a facelift, adjusted some skills [yet still kept enigma and over-buffed hammerdins], and even added a few new runewords. I mean, seriously? Your accusations are unfounded … FG and multi-client use is not against ToS. If it were, then Sandboxie and users of JSP would’ve been banned long ago. You voiced yout OPINION, you diodn’t get your way, now you WHINE!
Your original post started with calling people with a different opinion no-lifers. Go try single player on P8. Drops don’t rain from the sky. HRs are still incredibly rare. Making an enigma is a real accomplishment. In online, you can trade for one or just be given one, on occasion, and you still want to have higher drop rate? You want your cake and eat it too. “Legit players” seems to be a euphemism for lazy players. Real players know if you put the time in good things will happen. Maybe not what you want all the time but still good things. I played single player for 6 months on all levels with 5-6 different characters/builds p1-p8 before I got a Shako. I played online for about 4 days and a Shako dropped. You have to put the time in. Stop being lazy. Many of us want that drop playing the way the game is. We don’t want the game to change to give us something easier than it should be. This game has no instant gratification. But earned gratification is so much sweeter.
If you truly want to be legit then play the game as it is and earn what you get. Being recognized for it on the ladder shouldn’t matter. The reward is in playing the game.
When you have the opportunity to trade for what you need, there is no reason to increase drop rates. You will always get something that somebody else wants. Be a niche player. Go after gems or keys and be a supplier. Always a market. And very lucrative, but you still have to farm, put the time in. If you do that you will also get other things, but you will be able to afford whatever you want.
Literally the whole point of this design is for people to play together, trade, share, etc. If you are not able to find groups with others, maybe change what you are doing to find others to play with.
Now if its a restriction the company set, maybe just ask to remove the regional blocking…no other changes are needed in your OP
