I’d consider any price up to 60$ for double or triple the space & characters we have. How does thos make the rest of us feel?
Wouldn’t spend another dime personally. I’ll just sit on NL and use respecs. I just don’t do microtransactions.
3$ tab(down to 2$ per tab if bought in bundle)
like
1 tab 3$
3 tab 2,75$ per tab(8,25$ total)
6 tab 2,50$ per tab(15$ total)
10 tab 2,25$ per tab(22,50$ total)
15-30 tabs 2$ per tab(30-60$ total)
mega special…50 tabs…1.80$ per tab(90$)…cap stash
+char slots
+3 slots 3$(1$ per char slot)
+10 slots 8$(0.80$ per char slot)
+20 slots 14$(0.70$ per char slot)
+30 slots 19.5$(0.65$ per char slot)
mega special +50 slots 29$ (0.58$ per char slots)
well thats assuming they ain’t going to be more greedy than expected
You can buy another key if you want more space. The idea of paying for more character slots and tabs just sounds dirty to me though. To suggest that they need more money to allow us to have more character slots is ridiculous when you consider how much space a character takes up and how much storage costs. Though if I paid, could I get at least a single tab in classic (non-lod)? Having only a 6x8 stash and having to mule manually really sucks.
Well you already did…
You’ve paid 60$ for a D2Lod graphic overlay mtx
I almost exclusively play offline, so the notion of paying for extra space seems very unwarranted in my case (it can be warranted when they have to devote resources to keep this character data on their servers). If they did introduce such a microtransaction for online, they better make sure that offline players don’t need to buy any.
The reassuring thing is that they don’t have incentives to fill our inventories with garbage to push extra sales, so I could imagine spending a few bucks for an extra Personal page per character on online if I decided to spend a significant amount of time playing the game online, but I don’t really see myself ever playing online.
They would price it logically to be a tad below a second copy of the game. So I would expect 15$ for double storage and another 20 slots. I’d pay it too, though it should be free.
I pay big dolla for Blizzard to monetize more inventory space, big dolla. You give me more fake bag space, I give them many money. I no expect Blizzard to give me free empty intangible space for free, nothing is free, not even nothing. That why I pay big dollars to be abused as customer.
I wouldn’t pay a single penny. I would even stop recommending D2R if this happened.
Because the moment they add in-app purchases, is the moment they’ll be incentivised to develop their game around them.
They could start with adding the 20 slots per platform you‘ve bought the game for.
considering how much money diablo immortal already made blizz. i think were long past that point.
I really cant see why u would say it sounds dirty. Its not like u are paying to get more power or making ur character better in any way. These are things i would consider dirty and should never be a part of D2R but more space is not. If adding a small price would give me more space and character slots and make blizzard actually implement this i really wouldnt mind. Besides u are free to not buy it and u wont loose any power by not doing so u simply would have less space.
Honestly hate this topic. The original game had even less space and we survived. Yes we had to mule but we still managed and survived
Micro transactions are a slippery slope.
Patently not true. Original game had essentially as much space as you could handle, as many characters as you could want. I’d gladly happily take essentially unlimited space/characters that expire in 90 days without play, over limited space/20characters that never expire. Any dedicated D2R player already has more than 1 copy of the game, which is the “way Blizz allows more space”. By paying 40/80/120 etc more dollars to ActiBlizzion. Which is 100% contrary to the way D2 and D2LoD functioned (1 copy of the game = all you could want). Honestly, I hate this topic mostly because of people like you believing the things you write, ezcyberpup.
Logging onto different accounts and tranfering items between them is not only inefficient, its painful. I will quit this is only option…
We literally had infinite space in D2 LoD. Have u even played back then??? one copy of the game and u could create 1000 or more mules if u wanted. The space in D2R is really limited compared to LoD and the 20 char limit means that most of us wont be able to play next ladder unless we buy a new key or delete characters we dont want to delete
There was zero limit in LoD. You could make as many accounts as you wanted with 1 CD key… I had dozens of characters. The only restrictions was perming the characters which was easy enough to do if you knew how to stick yourself trying to talk to Akara on the wall.
Let’s think about this in terms of storage on their end. A character takes up around 30 kb of storage. So, each account is 600 kb of storage. A TB M.2 NVME drive costs what, $150 max? So, if they offered this option, it would basically be pure profit for them. D2 OG offered unlimited character slots without any additional fees. So, it would be purely a cash grab on their end. That’s why it is dirty.
The original game had endless account creation for free, so infinite space.
