Yup, casuals come in, complain about skill trees and complain about not getting items, and wanna change this and that. Blizzard listens to those guys, changed the game. Those guys found the game boring again, abandon the game, cycle repeats, but meanwhile the game itself becomes a shthole

As long as the changes don’t affect the core of the game, i’m fine with it. That means no /players8 online. minor skill buffs promoting build diversity is a good thing.

Your assumption that most are casuals is wrong. Lots of us vets want balance changes etc. Hell, even Dbrunski and Llama want changes nowadays. Regular D2 isn’t going anywhere.

Yes content askers will never be satisfied if they don’t like core game. They will again become bored after a week.

Thats great for them, but you named 2 people vs the thousands who love the game the way it is and just wanted to enjoy the new views
Take a look around the forums. Most people are happy with changes. Go check D2JSP. They are too. You can’t just assume that most D2 vets don’t want more to the game. There’s a reason why the mods like PD2 and PoD get so many people during resets.

That had to be expected. Well if they get the balance, new runewords right and don’t introduce powercreep AND we end up getting a better game (by 2025) then it’s a win. If the game dies because the changes are bad, it’s a win too, since we get more time in real life back. It’s basically win-win anyway

Oh no. Heaven forbid they make melee and fire builds viable. That would just be awful.

Its not that i dont, but i know this company, this is how it starts and then people cry their builds arent good enough, so then more changes come out. And then someone else is now upset… name one blizz game that hasnt had this happen and then it dies afterwords…

I would love to see a fend Amazon, a viable fire Trapsin or a fire Druid. Not to mention an actually viable Martial Arts assassin other than kicksin.

Well don’t put words in my mouth, I never said most are casuals. I could easily say the same way “Your assumption that most are vets is wrong” that vets wanna see changes to this game.
I simply spoke my personal experience, even some of my casual friends that I know they won’t last very long in this game (ask how I know, I used to play D3 with them), and they wanna remove runewords simply because they couldn’t get a Ber rune.
