People who don’t like Enigma and want it nerfed or removed are people who don’t know how to obtain one either through farming or trade. So they feel they need to hurt those who do know how to obtain the item.
Essentially, it’s the same psychological disorder as hurting the rich to make the poor feel better. It’s a deep seeded emotional issue called envy. It’s not that these people don’t like Enigma, it’s that they don’t like anyone else having it.
The argument that it’s over powered and it breaks the game likely comes from players that never leveled a character from 97 to 99, nor ever completed the Holy Grail. Removing or nerfing Enigma would add months to the completion of these ‘goals’. And that’s it, isn’t it, they don’t want people who have big endgame goals to obain their ultamate reward of satisfaction through accomplishment.
I have the wealth for 10 enigmas by this point, but I have 0, want to know why? Because I like some more challenge. I don’t particularly like “easy mode” activated. The solution is there for anyone who doesn’t like or enjoy Enigma.
I want enigma nerfed. Mostly I think it should just have a flat 20 strength bonus (intead of like 60). I don’t want to nerf its teleport aspect tho! You pay BIG for that mobility jump.
ok first off… no one is for hurting people well off… but there is a difference form someone who can makes 100-400k a year an actually live off of.
when houses that were bought by my grandpa for 20k just sold this year for 1.9 million.
then people start to get annoyed.
i payed over 600k for a 2 bedroom 2 bath, condo.
prices are absurd… so when we see people be like " i make 2+ million a year" and i pay my employees minimum wage. with no benefits or PTO because we only ever hire contractors. then yeah… the average person isnt going particularly happy with that.
no one is hating the guy working 10 hour days 5 days a week for 150k a year
even if that’s more than double my wage.
people dislike the people who make millions or BILLIONS who are or “CEO’s” or top “executives”… people like musk and besos. people who very easily could pay people who work their butt off WAY more but dont
Understanding something about your own species isn’t nearly as kingly as someone arguing to remove the majority of charges so he can roll better rares.
I’ve been playing the game on the regular for 20 years, I’ve never rushed anything but mules and I’ve never intentionally leech experience.
I play the game, and I play to 99. I don’t ask for the game to be made easier, I in fact ask for the game to be made harder, not by nerfing items but by adding harder challenges that take a few minutes yet are very risky for a legit hardcore player. Extending the grind to 99 to be much longer is not making the game harder, it’s wasting time in a persons life.
I don’t believe a word you said that came after those three words other that you understand inflation.
If you make minimum wage you should apply for a better job and know your worth.
If you work hard for a company for 1-2 years, you should be promoted, if not, move on.
At the same time on the other end of the spectrum;
It’s completely find to not work 40+ hours a week, enjoy the search for more roommates though.
There is also the work experience aspect for people new to the work force. Which volunteer work is also great for, plus it helps make connections and get good references. More than once there were jobs I wanted that I knew I’d excel at and have fun doing given the opportunity, but I didn’t have the experience, so I offered my time for free for 2 weeks. The first time I offered that and was accepted, they hired me after one week, and within 2 months I was manager of the division. Which eventually lead me to starting my own successful businesses in the same field.
