The game needs to move away from the players 8 'meta'

The solution is easy, don’t go for 99. You really don’t need it.

As I said in my previous posts, I don’t care how fast people reach 99. I care about how they reach it, or more specifically how I reach it, but hoping to speak for the majority here when I say the 99 grind is at the very least weird and flawed in diablo 2.

They won’t do this, friend. By the time they even consider this kind of change, D4 will be out. You might as well hang tight and leave thos unbalanced relic behind for good once the next true diablo game comes out.

I always play solo online. It would be nice if solo players could gain experience quicker.

Unless I’m misunderstanding you, this is one of the common mistakes developers have been making in the modern era of games. You never really feel powerful because the monsters just get more difficult as you gain more power. It’s kind of a pointless cycle.

You should be able to steam roll everything in this game with good gear. The challenge comes in perfecting your farming routes and seeing how fast you can do them. The motivation is to find other GG gear you can trade for gaining more wealth.

Perma-tactically difficult combat is much better suited for other types of games. Not everything has to be that.

/players 8 should just come to BattleNet. You can already do it by buying seven other accounts. So adding the option would just be essentially eliminating a form of pay to win that is already in place.

I suppose being able to set players 8 on your own would fix everything, but I didn’t suggest endless monster power creep. I mean, I already steamroll everything on p8, I just suggested a similarly difficult endgame loop that you don’t need to party up to get the most experience.

I wish they would just allow player 8 command online, but then they wouldnt make money off people like myself loading 4 accounts into one game so I can just have player 5.

I have one account. What is an alt account. I’ve had the same account since they started the blizzard app. Not sure wtf you are saying. Yeah fake buzz, but wouldn’t it be nice to set player count on ladder? I’d play again. Thank you and stop hating/trolling? Kk thx

Your second post announcing that you are not an alt account has been duly noted and logged away. This proclamation of account originality did not help validate said claim. Please keep all such redundant statements in reserve for a more gullible reader. Thank you, and have a nice day.

Yeah, sorry but no. Diablo 4 is a diablo 3 copy which was not a ‘true’ diablo game to begin with. Diablo franchise will die with diablo 2 lod/ressurected.

it’s only “fun” cause there is open trading and people are actively running bots to sell off loot for $

Considering there are no original devs working on Diablo 4 that previously worked on Diablo 1 and 2 there will never be a “true” Diablo game ever again. Diablo 4 looks exactly like Diablo 3 did…why? Because I’m sure pretty much the same devs that made Diablo 3 are making 4.

It’s surprising how much different games become with different devs. Same thing happened with world of warcraft…once the original devs started leaving the entire game pretty much changed. Same title… different devs… different game.

Yeah it is :stuck_out_tongue:. It’s the only diablo game that matters RN

The game is nothing like diablo 3. You guys are weird.

That’s the first time I’ve seen somebody with your point of view. Seems the consensus is that it is a hybrid between wow, D3 and Immortal.

All new games resemble old games. D4 doesn’t give off d3 vibes at all. Are you alright dude?

Diablo 4 is built off a modified/improved diablo 3 engine, it’s clear as day. You must be delusional to say it doesn’t ‘give diablo 3 vibes’ at all.
That being said, it’s going to sell well undoubtedly because it’s a diablo game. In 1-2 years it is going to die and people will go back to the established arpgs (diablo 2 / path of exile) as they have always had.

And Half-Life 1 used a modified Quake 1 engine, but nobody went around saying Half Life was giving them Q1 vibes.

You guys either haven’t played the beta or are just to blazed and frustrated by your experience with Blizzard products that you can’t see the great potential D4 has especially through the itemization, that has much more in common to D2 than D3, same with the skill tree. Not even going to mention the most fluid combat I have experienced in an ARPG.

But it’s easier to just lament and complain. It’s trendy to be a victim of the system in nowadays. I for one will play the game. I am moderately optimistic regarding this release. If they play their card right, and they keep it p2w free as promised, D4 has the chance to follow well in the footsteps of D2.

Alright man, you go ahead and buy diablo 4. I’ll wait for a while before even considering to buy it. If it doesn’t have replayability remotely close to diablo 2 it’s a hard pass for me.

By the way, isn’t this itemization you are talking about very similar to the stats system in diablo 3? Didn’t they say trading was very limited and endgame items will be rares rolled into legendaries?

Also, this thread derailed so much.

The alternative being? Diablo 3? Nay, Dark Souls is the only game worthy of your time.
