Yes, Sorc gets Tele at 18 but is she the fastest to level 30, 40, and 75 solo? I ask for hese reasons:
1 - Act 5 socket quest in Norm for sure but all 3 realistically.
2 - Access to Moo-Moo farm in all 3 difficulties.
3 - Hell Forge along the way.
4 - Grabbing Cube along the way.
5 - High level mannequin for holding alternate gear.
Thoughts?.. opinions?.. Please add a few words explaining why. Not everyone is a 15 year speed running D2 expert.
I don’t have exact data, just my own experience. I’m talking first time through with no help and no twinking.
I’d say for me, the fastest to beat Normal level is probably Summon Druid.
Fastest to beat Nightmare is probably Sorceress or Amazon.
Fastest to beat Hell would probably be Sorceress or Necro.
But, I don’t have a lot of experience with Assassins, so I don’t know how they factor in.
With twinking I actually think DS/Frenzy Barbs level and get through to Hell pretty fast.

google diablo 2 speedrun records - you will see that sorc are fastest. you don’t really need to ask a bunch of people that will have false info. google is your friend.
i don’t understand people in this day and age, we have google, but yet people still go to forums, or better yet, facebook and reddit, to ask common people questions they should be typing straight into google for direct results.
Hands down it’s the sorceress for all three difficulties. She was used to complete the entire game in 3.5 hours 7 months ago. Nice to see people still playing the better game.

Pally charge is pretty fast through normal
The class you are best with.
I find fire trapper to be the easiest/fastest to get through normal. Fireblast at lvl 1 is sufficient to take out just about everything till you get to Wake of fire.
My second is a Summoner, that’s probably because I have built so many I have it down. Again starting with my lvl 1 skill I can take all of normal down.
Holy Fire Paladin is super efficient until they hit the fire immune wall in NM Act 4.
In my spare time this season, for my own amusement, I’ve been gradually leveling up my mules to Hell using niche, novelty, and low skill point builds. The only one in Hell so far is a Summon/Barbs/Thorns Druid. It was functional but less fun than I expected waiting for monsters to kill themselves in NM. I’ve also been doing a Holy Freeze Pally and Bladesin, and plan to probably do a Conc Barb and a Dentist Necro.
As for the main question of speed, I’d suspect that a Sorc with an inventory full of blues would be the fastest by far.

If no gear in this order.
With gear it changes a lot. A bowazon with a 3 tal starter bow shreds A1. You can even do a psn dagger necro and destroy normal mode. Obviously the better geared the barb is the faster he goes.
i’mma repeat myself since, you know what i said would happen, a bunch of people with false info posting their “ideas” of what they “think” would be fastest. when it’s PROVEN that sorc is the fastest, at every step of the way, yes. teleport is OP. who would’ve known.
Probably assassin or druid now.

But the question wasn’t “fastest to defeat Hell” it was fasted to X level. Still gotta kill stuff. Sorc, especially at lower levels, isn’t the fastest killer. I’m also not sure its “been proven”, beyond of course the fact that Sorc can teleport. Obviously Sorc is probably the most played class and the one people have the most expertise with. Whether its really fastest to level up I’m not sure. And again its different at different levels.
I’d say for sure you can get to level 20 faster with many other classes. Level 30 probably too. Now, beyond that, yes the Sorc starts to gain ground, for many reasons, not just teleport. Level 30 is where Sorcs start to really take off.
Assassins and Paladins get movement bonuses earlier than Sorc, Barbs have pretty good movement bonuses as well, though if we’re talking self-found then Barbs are at a disadvantage (well Pallys too really). I’d say Summon Druid is pretty fast through Normal for sure.
I find Amazons the slowest to get started, no matter the flavor, but the pick up nicely once you get to their higher skills, though they lack movement bonuses.
But I’d still say that a moderately twinked Frenzy Barb goes pretty darn fast. Double Swing to start, Leap Attack is Teleport light, and Frenzy means you move super fast through everything. Claims that Singer Barb is a faster leveler are nonsense IMO. And if you want to Howl instead of taking time on trash you can do that too, or just Leap it. But yeah, if talking about a fresh non-twinked start, then not Barb.
She is because she has static, teleport, and a nova as main skill if you know how to use static. Others have already said sorc. Nova works in Nm but without gear you can just respec to cold if you don’t need static. Pretty ez and straightforward for sorc.
how about instead of going off “how you think” or “how you feel” go look at the actual speedrun records so you can stop looking like an idiot. i’m getting sick of your postin baddad… you really are bad at this.
like is finding out the truth so hard you’d rather just theory craft off your… terrible brain capacity? like you’ve even said yourself, you’re not the best or most knowledgeable when it comes to d2, why do you act like you are sometimes?
and since you can’t go check yourself it seems i will tell you one thing, sorc is an hour and 10 minutes faster than the next class to beat hell. do you know what the second fastest class is? p.s the second class doesn’t even touch the top 10 of sorc.

Getting to 75 is just going to be running Eldritch anyway. Sorc is going to get through the game fast enough that she’ll have all the time in the world to farm before anyone else even gets to hell.
Outside of that a few zones showing up as a NM TZ… if we are including RNG in the mix… then who knows. Maybe a Pally that respecs FoH and gets lucky with chaos 2 outta 3 hours as a TZ?
I still kinda doubt he’d eat away the sorcs lead enough. 9 outta 10 times it’s going to be sorc.
