The coolest build- bowazon i still way underpowered

To anyone involved in PTR changes, i beg you to do one thing.
Create bowazon with faith in gmb +3bow/15ed, forti, 120/45 helmet, 37x 32020 - basically one of the most expensive builds and try doing a chaos run.
Now, do the same with a cold/fire sorc with basic gear (no skillers, shako being most exp item, wizzy, viper and spirit - basically worth 1/1000 of above bowa) , and a cheap obedience merc. Guess what - she would do equally good, or equally bad.

Please. Reconsider bowazon and her synergies, especially for guided arrow and multishot.

What are you basing the results on? Time of run? This won’t prove that bowazons are bad but rather prove that teleport is inherently an OP skill.

To illustrate, do the same test but don’t allow the sorc to teleport.

Also, the 3/20/20 charms are redundant; bowazons don’t need that much life. Use +3 max damage small charms instead, the bowazon build will then suddenly become much cheaper.

The better approach is remove enigma.

bowzon is rather powerful with the removal of the damage reduction for strafe TBH

elemental skill are also buffed largely

Sorcs have teleport without enigma. I agree enigma exacerbates the problem, but the problem is really with the teleport skill itself. Some people have suggested a small cast delay on teleport, I think this is not a bad suggestion if done right.

Bowazon needs guided arrows to pierce again, and we will be good.

Nah. Would be more balanced to buff crushing blow damage on ranged attacks instead.

no buff to Guided Arows ! its a pvp skill not pve…play with Strafe and Multishot for PVE

Strafe: shoot 7-9 ARROW within 2 sec
Strafe number of arrows shot equal 1 + skill lvl divide by 4(basicly this)
lvl 1 = 1 arrow
lvl 4 = 2 arrows
lvl 8 = 3 arrows
lvl 12 = 4 arrows
lvl 16 = 5 arrows
lvl 20 = 6 arrows
lvl 24 = 7 arrows
lvl 28 = 8 arrows
lvl 32 = 9 arrows
…for lvl 36 its not worth it
how to reach
Faith in a +3 skill Grand Matron bow(+5 BOW Skills)
Torch//Annilus/Battle Command = +5 Bow Skills
use 0-2 Bow Skillers GC = enable to reach lvl 32…not worth getting the tenth arrow with 4X more bow GC…leave it at 9…the amount of GC needed depend on amulet/armor choices
other Pieces of gear
Laying of Hand(20% ias + 350% dmg to demons
Armor 2 choice(cheap and expensive)
Fortitude(using it wont let you reach 7 frames ias but you net huge ed)cheap option for 8 frames bowa
OR
4 socket armor fill of 4 Jewels with 40% Enhanced dmg 15% IAS each(160% ED + 60% IAS)…super expensive option
Amulet 2 options:
Option 1: if using Fort use Highlord Wrath(that mean 1 less Bow GC needed) and you net the missing ias to reach 8 Frames
Option 2 Craft Amulet(if using the expensive jewel armor) if going expensive way…Bow Skiller GC wont be needed in such case
Guillaume Helm: 15% IAS 15% All Resists Jewel
Ring 1: Ravenfrost
Ring 2: rare ring with sick mods
Boots: Gore Rider
Belt: Razortail(pierce effect + 67% from amazon pierce skill

but realisticly…majority of player wont be able to go the expensive way(99%)…so i recommend Fort///+Highlord Wrath Amy and 1 bow skiller GC to reach 8 frames + 9 Arrow shots to get a better feel of non-filth rich players

here the big issue though…most players do NOT KNOW that Strafe force extra arrows out for each 4 lvl into it…so they never max it and end up with poor bossing results with it…this may be a good tooltip to add for unknowledgable players

because honestly Strafe did very nice in term of dmg with skill points pump into it at max lvl + extra sp from gear…for both mobbing and bossing even at 25% reduce dmg pre-buff

the only thing i would say is lacking is resistance on Bow Zon…every unique bow/bow runeword shoud grant 40-75% all resists at least…every good pieces of damaging gear has no resists so bow zon suffer greatly from that or to be specific
15-25% all resists for lvl 1-29 bows
25-40% all resists for lvl 30-65 Bows
40-75% all resists for lvl 66-99 Bows

other than that it would be a very welcome addition to add a new pair of Unique boots that grant the following
30% faster Run/walk
-30% stats requirement
4% chance to open wounds
8% Crushing Blow
20% IAS
25% FHR
20% to cold/fire resist
50% to Lightning resists
+2 to Bow&Crossbow skills
Myrmidon Boots…so that they be very hard to find
i didn’t want to suggest cb//ow to be near gore amount since it would overshadow them for raw dmg…but i wanted to make it clear thats its design only for bow zon

D2 isnt a friggin pvp game, skills are built for PVE and PVP is an afterthought, so not being able to use a skill in PVE makes no sense.

oh ya sure…add 1200% dmg to make it pve viable and 1 shot everyone in pvp(facepalm)…not every skill have to be build for pve(honestly it could have 100k dmg and still be pve horrible because ineficient for mobbing
and not every skill has to be built for pvp(example cold arrow)

secondly i never called it strictly a pvp game…i wrote “pvp skill” its entirely different meaning

the trolling door is over there---->
i left some mossy rubble for you to stumble on and faceplant on the way out

edit for your new post: keep it up i dont see a reason to give you a proper reply when you reply with more trolling(pretend to take an assumption on my motives)

Go outside, woosah relax, just because you want the game to cater to PVP when its a PVE game 100% first.

Guessing this is from a PVM standpoint? cuz zons in PVP freakin wreck as it is! Strafe is freakin strong right now, and guided already fixes peoples bad aim and lets it follow enemies LOL. now we wanna let it pierce again? then lets just take d2 back to .09 so i can make an orber.

When I leveled Strafe on the PTR it said “Maximum numbers of arrows shot: 10” for all levels from 1 to 20.

An easy, simple, QOL change for the bowazon would be to add a unique quiver that has “unlimited quantity” and “add X damage”. X would vary based on the runeword from 1(trash tier) to 50 (god tier). Similar to the power of grief, 50 flat damage would REALLY bump the minimum amount of physical damage that they deal. Also, not having to carry around arrows would be epic!

max is 10 starting at lvl 6 IF you got 10 enemies target

for single target its 1 arrow + an additional arrow shot for every 4 lvl in Strafe

lvl 1 = 1 arrow for boss
lvl 4 = 2 arrow for boss
lvl 8 = 3 arrows for boss
lvl 12 = 4 arrows for boss
lvl 36 = 10 arrows for boss

but with optimized gear set up you wont get more than 9 arrows for bossing

try using Strafe on a boss with lvl 6 Strafe and see for yourself how many arrows it shoot out

I have no problem running chaos with a frost maiden using Mavina’s set on player 1. For the cold immunes like Oblivion Knights, strafe wil take care of them even on the low damage Mavina’s caster.

Not affected by PTR at all. Your problem seems to be specific to a particular build and gear. Why rebalance the entire class for that?

God forbid, last thing we need is Druid-IAS Activision rebalance “buff” up equivalent for bowazons

She is doing fine. I’d argue a bowazon is faster at full chaos sanctuary clear than a blizzard sorc. I can clear all chaos including diablo in 3 minutes. I know from experience a blizzard sorc needs much more time to do the same. She can seal pop faster so your statement is pretty much a lie. You don’t even need faith or the max dmg charms with fortitude. All you need is 90ias, windforce and 400dex.

Light sorc with infinity can clear CS the fastest but her equip is super expensive starting with Ber Ber…

What we really need is beefcake Crossbows. They should be king of physical damage when we talk ranged weapons.

Amazon class bows and some unique bows has +skillers on them and good attack speed. They are fine for elemental bow builds.

Yea, xbows need some love. They’re completely unviable imho. Maybe make all xbows have some inherent crushing blow or deadly/crit strike to make up for the poor speed or something.

Also, act 1 rogue merc - let them use xbows…

I agree, though the chances for each guided arrow to pierce should be reduced each time it pierces. Or perhaps pierced guided arrows should be more likely to have reduced damage. What do you think?

Yes, but all the sorc players cry about sorc skills needing a buff ….
