The Anti-socialization of the game by Bot-net

:rantstart:

So, if bot-net wishes to continue the total annihilation of any socialization in the game through over-powered runewords [enigma], runewords intended for other games like D4 [mosaic], total refusal to do anything about bots/spambots, TZ’s, and every other way that they are trying to destroy the game … then let’s destroy it all the way!

THIS IS NOT A FIRST PERSON SHOOTER CONSOLE GAME!

I mean, hell, the only way they can try to push us out into the total failures they have created, that don’t even sell at 67% off, is to destroy the last vestige of the game … socialization. Something the game was built on.

I want a feature that allows me to selectively allow certain character classes to join my public games and prevent others from doing so …

I want check boxes next to character classes listed on the game creation screen. I want the ability to further destroy any remaining socialization in the game.

I mainly will block assassins [I am so damned sick and tired of mosaic sins ruining the public games] and paladins [more specifically, the main bot out there, hammerdins, with the most overpowered runeword that has destroyed group play … enigma].

This way we can somewhat enjoy what’s left of the remnants of social play in the game.

If they cannot do this or absolutely refuse to allow us to help destroy the game … then at least give us back TCP/IP, so we don’t have to participate in the dev’s antics of bot-net.

They’ve destroyed the ladder system by combining realms and making one ladder only. They’ve killed the HC ladder by allowing dead characters, that cannot level, cannot play [they are dead! they lose all gear, all money, and cannot participate in ladder anymore], and reward them a participation trophy by allowing them to remain posted for doing nothing. It never used to be that way,. Once a dead character was surpassed by a live, participating, leveling character, they dropped off of the ladder. A slap in the face to those that play without dying and try to progress on the ladder, but are stuck behind a slew of bots that died collecting items for their RMT stores. Most of which are from asia server, the ones you combined with everyone else to help ruin the ladder and the game.

What the hell happened to you guys??? You’ve gone from THE premier gaming company, to a laughing stock and not even a shadow of what you once were … that is so sad.

They sold out. The downfall started when Vivendi bought Blizzard, then the merger with Activision under Big Bucks Kotick drove in the coffin nails. Greed became the driving force of Blizzard, forcing them to trade quality for quantity. Their primary concern switched from their customers to their shareholders.

Gotta make that money man.

Basically this, if you’re not like a claytroll you will find people to play with in discord.

I really wish diablo 2 was owned by an indie studio.

Indie games are typically dirt cheap, and they provide free updates for years, sometimes over a decade, simply cause it’s their baby and they want it to be great.

I always feel great when purchasing a game from a small studio, because their heart and soul is in it, and they deserve to be successful

Enigma, mosaic, TZ’s don’t affect your ability to communicate with players in game or to work with them. Sometimes you work with them for just player counts, sometimes you work with them to get tasks done or tasks done faster.

No! They’re all racists! Or Homophobic! Or they ban him for NO REASON! Or they’re prejudice against medical conditions! Or they’re sexist!

Or maybe… they just don’t want to play with a moronic drama queen.

I mean they weren’t full indie, but that is the vibe that got us all the great early video games from Blizzard. I think they had some money, but they weren’t responsible for investors and the board and the stock price, so they just made a good product. But that has sailed. Also currently I’m not sure that any indie or close to is are really out there making great games. There are some, not in the Blizzard style genre of the past though. As a game dev though, IMO that is the one way to win the lottery and they’re not doing it. Just ONE game could make you filthy rich, and you still wouldn’t be responsible to a board or your stock price.

Yeah, blizz devs have ceased to care if the benchmark game of decades is great or not anymore. They have turned a multiplayer online game into a single player online botfest!

People talk about popularity and money … D2R, a remaster of a 20 year old game still sold over 5 million copies [between Aug 13, 2021 & April 2022] … that’s a statement as the the game’s staying power and continued popularity …

Monetarily, it made over $200 million selling D2R from the start … where the hell did all of that money go? Obviously not to any updates, obviously not to server stability, etc …

It went to bobby-boi’s golden parachute.

And as far as TCP/IP is concerned, blizz stated one of the reasons they removed it is to force players to use battlenet. They admitted that.

The fact the game made/makes money, that is still extremely popular after 20+ years, obviously, means nothing to bot-net.

D2R is only 3 years old [released Aug 13th, 2021] and is still very, very popular despite bot-nets refusal to fix the botting issue, despite crap servers, despite refusing to listen to the player base …

When is someone up there gonna get a damned clue?

Then please support the indie ARPGs like Grim Dawn and Last Epoch, so that indie studios have more incentive to make ARPGs.
