Terrorized Nihlithak is troll

i did about 80 runs on nihlithak while he was terrorized and did not drop a single key of destruction or grand charm, nothing, literally no mentionable items at all, this is on NL, is he glitched while terrorized or bad luck?

You nailed it.

At players 1, Nihlathaks key drop rate is roughly 1:13.

Keep trying.

Next patch notes… Found bug with terrorized zones causing lower drop rates on all bosses and super uniques. Sorry guys!

There should not be any issue with nihkathak in terror zone. Just bad luck.

The same happened on me with TZ chaos.
I did quite a few runs with a friend. We have 411 MF and 383 MF.
From all the diablo kills we barely saw a yellow item. My friend who creating the games is 91 lvl. It would be nice to at least increase the drop rates in TZ.

Drop rates are incresed in TZ.

Really? Doesn’t seem so, and i haven’t read anything about drop rates being increased in TZ.
Or i know anyone besides you now, who faced that.

Edit. Can you share plz blizz’s statement about drop rates being increased? I die to read that

Blizzard made silent changes which you will not see in patch notes or their statement, this stuff was discovered in game files. There is atleast one thing in their patch notes even when its not direct info. Level of monsters is used for calculating quality of drops, in patch notes they are telling us that monsters in terror zones can have increased levels. Thats automaticly means increased higher quality drop chance. But i consider it as non significant as its too low increase. Most significant are treasure class upgrades which werent talked about at all from devs.

If ypu want to know more, i highly advise you to read my guide:

About your runs… Even increase chance doesnt mean good items are guaranteed. If that would be the case, everyone would have everything in few weeks.

Btw, for example terrorized diablo can drop stuff his normal version cant.

I know all these, thats why i am saying that it has no drop rates changes. By increasing monster lvl, its increasing the loot table, as you said, but not the rate that it drops these items.

For example, rakanishu has 1:500 (example) to drop shako in hell. In TZ stony field he has the same number to drop shako again. But now, after a specific lvl who created the game, it can drop everything. That meas his loot table is increased but not the drop rates.
Or i get something wrong?
If you find something different in game files that indicates the drops are higher, then ok , you know better, i haven’t reached that spot to search the files to dig things up :sweat_smile:.

But so far, with the game time i have in S2, with my 3 player team :sunglasses:, i havent seen any more drops. Dunno. Maybe bad luck, as usual?

Partialy. Some higher TC lines have higher chances to drop high tc items than previous ones.

Also if rakanishu has certain chance for tc 78 in only one tc line. With incresing his TC, he will be drawing loot from higher one you will get basicly chance to get tc78 items twice. So incresed chance. Its like if you would be throwing dice once or twice to get 5.

And as i said monster level is used for calculating quality of item. If fully terrorized andy drop ring, chance to ring being uniq is like 30% i belive with 300% mf, her level increse makes it 33%. I butcheted those number but you get the idea.

I even do it without terror zone and have 3 keys but not really need them atm

Its just rng

no problem at all with drops rates in TZ , i have done many of runs with no items to speak of, thats the point of this game, its what makes finding a ber rune make ur heart race a bit

True. It did when i find a ber in dark wood terrorised.
But when i do 300 runs with no worthy drops, then it doesnt fit well.
And when have limited time to play this game, in 3/4 seasons, i end up with almost 1 geared class.
But everyone has his personal opinion. For me, drop rates should be higher but not like D3, defo not.

I found Natalyas Boots in a Normal Terrorized zone. They would never have dropped otherwise. I found 3 Shaels in one game in normal Terrorized Zones. They would never have dropped in normal either. I have found numerous Exceptional Socketed Items.
Seems to be working as intended on my end.

You just found the trick on how to run Nilly.
You came there to visit, just say hi and kill him, he likes that, he’s quite use to the dying, but he does feel lonely and attention is attention.
So he’s gonna give you a few keys.
If someone really needs a key he knows that if drops it they will likely stay away until they need a key again, thus withholding the key will make sure they return in a few minutes keeping Nilly from becoming lonely.

So if you want to do Ubers, just visit the Key Npc’s every once a while a few times, no goals just hop by and see what happens.
