Terror zones are dumb

I like them, especially how they scale with the game creators level. It spices the game up for sure.

However, 9.9/10 times when I log in the zone is TRASHHH, like now its sewers…

I feel there should be an item in game, that if used, corrupts a zone. Kind of like a “rift” or a “map”.

I shouldn’t have to wait hour after hour hoping for a good zone, which it never is. I should be able to corrupt zones myself.

Project Diablo 2 did this right. You can find a map item which opens a TP (similar to Uber TP) to a special zone with lots of monsters to farm, with bumped lvls. Map items have different mods (like plus to MF, more monster density etc), players trade or upgrade/craft maps etc. Much more fun and player agency than D2R terror zones. No crappy maps that way and usually you find enough loot in the spawned map to afford the next map so you can keep on going if you want. Wish D2R had that instead of Terror Zones.

PoD and PD2 both have fantastic systems. Terror zones are blizzard taking the right steps, but it needs to be improved upon fosho

Then don’t play the terror zones you don’t like.

What did you do a few weeks ago before terror zones were introduced? Just keep doing that.

If D2R had PD2 map system instead of Terror Zones and PD2 elemental damage charms (each gives something like for example +5% fire damage etc, you can also roll large charms with something like +5% fire damage / +FHR) instead of Sunder Charms I think it would be much better.

I literally said “I like them” at the start of my discussion. I just think they are designed dumb.

They should just terrorize more of them at once. Problem solved.

is not bad but also not good or very creative

mean a waste of time compare too takecare of higher priority adding new runeword update new cube recipe update old unique item same with item set , fixing some class skill

You said you like them and then indicated you didn’t like them.

So, play the ones you like, don’t play the ones you don’t like. They weren’t there before so not playing them won’t change a whole lot.

They didn’t put them in for you to have all of your favorite farming spots terror zones all the time.

In my youth, I played this game to death and beyond; I played many mods(IMHO, best one ever was Walhalla, for 1.11 or so I believe), I have probably spent 20k or more hours in game. I’m 38 now, know about my previously undiagnosed autism and OCD, and I’m now getting stuck back in with my new purchase of Resurrected. I spent more time in this game than every other game I ever played combined; I probably won’t sink in that much time now that I have more structure in my life, but it’s quickly becoming a passion again.

I enjoy Terror Zones quite a lot, and I think that they could be refined into a more complex system to add flavor, but I’ll be patient on that. For now, I look forward to reaching Hell solo-built and having every one of them be an exciting challenge!

Isn’t one of the main points of the Terror Zones to incentivize playing in the less popular areas?

Yes, and it is working.

Yes but they could so something to make the less popular areas a little bit more popular

They are very good and right way =)) They need some fixes to them to be top 10 end gaming =)

My tips for blizzard dev team!

  1. Increase monster density for the low level zones. Add more Elite packs can be 2-3 elite monster in same groups.
  2. Add bosses into them like uber bosses or unique bosses!
  3. Guest monsters can be added only for “TZ - Hell games” An example of that is that if you go into Dark wood hell, there is an opportunity to meet monsters from act 2-5.

Turn this game into an MMO to fix these problems that keep the game trapped between NOT being one and being one!

Blows my mind how d2r does jot have endgame maps dungeons it is pathetic…
The game has not aged well.

Make a new boss or 2 every ladder along with some new maps/dungeon system and give us some QOL and d2r would be a good arpg to play. As it is now i cant for the life of me understand why anyone plays it. They stuck in the past.

We got plenty of good diablo like games fqr superior to d2r… like POE , last epoch, grim dawn, hell even van helsing has aged better thsn d2. …

Or go back to killing 100 million moo cows oh what a end game so much fun…

Yours truly a very disappointed diablo 2 fan
