So I died from the DDoS attack and lost a good bar of XP the other night (was so close to 97). Spent almost all of yesterday trying to make up for it, but not once did I get a Worlstone keep terror zone (which has about 10x the XP of any other terror zone thanks to Baal Waves).
Spent almost all day waiting for it, checking every hour, but it was all junk zones ALL night. Finally went to bed, woke up and JUST missed Worldstone from sleeping in a bit late (probably from staying up too late waiting for Worldstone).
Anyone else frustrated by all the junk zones? Almost donāt even want to play when we get one. I just leave it idling and keep checking back until a decent one comes. Kinda lame, if you ask me. Would be nice if we could either pick / vote / or at least know the schedule ahead of time so we can plan for it, rather than waiting around all day for nothing.
Anyone else feel similar?

Yep, it sucks. There was dozens of threads about it before Season 2 launched and nothing was changed from it.

I was running travincal and i can say that is the worst place, people with faster internet and ssd kill council in seconds when u still are loading travincal zone and then they restart, one terror zone just to kill council, melee builds cry ofc.
Trav is prob my 2nd fav terror zone. Great drops, easy to access, good XP and quick kills. Horked my first Ber from Trav 2 days ago while terrorized. Wish we could select our Top 5 choices or something and have it rotate between thoseā¦ Worldstone, Trav, CS, Cows and one or two others would be all Iād want!
OR, increase enemy density in other terror zones so theyāre actually comparable XP. Monster density feels too thin and spread out in many other zones.
Reminds me of Greater Rifts from D3. Some of them would be packed and I could clear the zone in like 5-6 minutes, others would be empty and take forever. If only they could make it so the density/XP was more even across zonesā¦

Suggestion I made was to add a few champion packs. If they donāt want to mess with density that would at least give you a reason to look around.

Thatās actually not what Iām saying. Itās fast when it hits the right zone, but thereās no incentive to play a lot of the zones, IMO. Would be nice if there was so we donāt have to wait around for a decent zone.
As for āfast levelingā, I hit level 96 on my barb back early July and am almost at 97, playing a good 5-6 hours per night. At this rate, itāll take me another year or so to hit 99, which is fine (took me 4 years to hit 99/99/99 in Runescape), but would be nice if I could enjoy all the zones rather than waiting around for only a handful of worthwhile ones.
TLDR: Make the zones more equal in terms of XP/density.
Mouser: Few extra champion packs would certainly help!

That is the reason why it should be āRANDOMā and without any way to anticipate the zone

so you want it faster than it is, all the time.
july would have been pre terror zones. the rate youāre currently gaining xp post terror zones will drop little as you continue to progress to 99.

It would be good to have at least 2-3 different zones terrorized at the same time, so we have some choice and better chance at a decent zone, instead of the area we play in being strictly dictated to us and purely random.

but hereās the thing:
I could play ALL day in non-terror zones and get like 1-2% XP
Or I could play for 1 hour in Worldstone terror and get 5-6% XP.
So it kinda makes all the non-terror farming feel worthless, in comparison now. Hope you can see where Iām coming from!

i do, but heres where im coming from (and hopefully the new d2 dev team): i dont want to play diablo 3 again. i dont want to hit max level in 2 weeks after the season starts and be done until the next reset happens in 3 months.
xp in terror zones is fine (too much if you ask me). keep logging off if you dont like the zone. its a much better option than destroying what little of the original game is left.

Thatās one way to deal with it, but that just means playing the game a lot less. And I thought these terror zones were designed to get people to play more? I imagine itāll evolve over the next few months, hoping they can find middle ground between our two views.
the idea was to incentivize people to go into areas they dont goto normally. not to dramatically rush people to max level, that was byproduct of the change, one they didnt even consider until a streamer asked for a lvl 98 character on the ptr.
if your sole complaint is that you dont get terror zone chaos levels of xp in every zone, i wish you nothing but a terrible time playing d2r. because i dont want to play the game youāre asking for, and i think i speak for most people who played lod on any consistent basis.
if your complaint is that there arent enough champ packs to drop loot in terror zones, you could always magic find in traditional areas until a more dense zone becomes terrorized.

There should really be 3-4 terror zones active at a time (limited to 1 per act). Literally so easy to implement, would fix basically whatās wrong and feels bad about terror zones, so donāt expect it ever.

I will reiterate it for clarity:
I donāt need fast/good XP. Just want it to comparable XP across zones. If that means reducing the amount of XP from Worldstone/Chaos, then so be it.
Telling me you hope I have a terrible time playing simply for wanting this, really makes me lose any interest in talking with you. What is this, high school? Too old for those sort of immature remarks.

the crux of your proposed change has been ātz world stone good, other tz badā. i think it would ruin the process of leveling worse than it already has. even the worst terror zones offer more xp per minute than old methods of leveling.
so ya, i hope you have a bad time playing diablo 2. best of luck with everything else in life though.
