The only real spell Necros get for a long time is teeth and it hits as hard as a wet paper airplane. I am so tired of having to cast the spell 20 times just to kill a normal mob. I have a high skill level in it but it doesn’t seem to matter. Each hit only takes off the tiniest portion of life. It should be hitting way harder than it is. Is this a bug, please tell me its a bug!
Teeth is not a powerful skill and if you are in a multiplayer game with a few other people teeth is going to feel like its not doing anything. Hang in there till you get bone spear (assuming you are making a bone necy). You can also play solo and you will feel a lot stronger with teeth. Either way it’s a skill you use until you get bone spear and then you will probably never use it again.
If you aren’t trying to make a bone necy let us know and we can help with builds.
I only play solo and I am now around level 15 now. It makes it extremely hard to progress because of how weak it is. The next 3 levels will be “hell”.
I don’t know how you are playing. I also play solo, players 5-8, using Teeth, golem and skelly, doing fine, level 15 too.
Elite monsters have a lot of HP, resists, etc. Every skill/class takes a lot of hits to kill elites.
Teeth has always done pitiful damage, that’s why you generally don’t play Bone till later. Skeletons do more damage, stick around, and will actually tank for you. I generally play Summoner till Nightmare Durial then swap to Bone.
this is the way teeth has been. it’s a lvl 1 skill it’s not supposed to be strong… it’s best used for weak mobs like fallen but you need to combine it with other skills. corpse explosion is your best friend. fire teeth until you get a kill and then bomb everything.
Doesn’t teeth shotgun? If I remember it actually does pretty decent damage at point blank once you get some levels in it. In the context of pre-bonespear character.
I’m also playing solo, aside from the mana cost teeth is fine imo, just a leveling skill until spear. Get a +teeth wand and you should be 1-2 shooting normal mobs
Don’t bother with poison or bone based Necro early on. You are just torturing yourself with garbage. Go full fishymancer (Google it) and go poison or bone later on when you are leveled and geared up a bit.
No teeth does not shotgun, only one tooth will hit if you spam it at a boss point blank. I’d love to see it shotgun but it doesn’t.

A lot of these guides online and some streamers have told Necros to go teeth/bone until a certain level and then switch to Summons at level . . . 15 or something weird.
Like . . . no , just level with the fishymancer build from 20 years ago, it still works. Like I dont even know what these people are doing making some of these guides they are way too overly complicated. Without gear summons has always been the way to go for leveling. Dunno where this teeth trend came from.
