Dear Blizzard,
There is no bonus coming from + to all skills for the new skills you made synergize.
For example, my Armageddon duration increase does not go up with a skill shrine, or any other + to skills from gear. Only a free skill point into Fissure will increase the amount. Same with my amazon and guided arrow/multishot damage.
On a paladin, I understand why the resist do not give passive resist with + to skills, as that would be overpowered. But for everything else, I really feel like it should be working with + to all skills.
If this is not a bug, then it should be corrected regardless. One of the reasons Hammerdin is so powerful is because + to skills keeps making the damage exponential.
Capping the synergy to 20 will not help us once we get gear.

Synergies work as intended.
Since they were introduced with the release of LoD in 2001 synergies do require HARD points to work.
Nothing else will do.

PS: the reason why Hdins are powerfull is Concentration Aura boosting the Blessed Hammer skill which it actually never should! Concentration Aura increases only physical damage, not magical damage. Yet it boosts Blessed Hammer’s magical damage. If it would work the same for a Bone Mancer they would be damn awesome but it does not.
If you want a bug fixed, get this nonsensical and unfair damage boost removed.
Except Concentration increasing hammer damage is working as intended, they added it as a hardcoded exception in 1.09 or so and you can even see the parameter that controls Conc’s damage bonus to hammers in skills.txt. Bug that became a feature long ago.
Yeah … they f-ed this up in 1.03, then brought it back in 1.05 and when LoD got released they had to tone it down(!) in 1.07 because the original buff was way too strong. It’s all documented in the D2/LoD patch log.
It still makes no sense and is unfair AF.
