Hey, as some MF /rune find maniacs here know, LK chests are known source of runes as there are certain patters which have runes in it.
As you probably know, there are also other similar super chests in next kurast maps, actualy two types. One is usualy in the tall building with stairs and another one is small object with entrance from right side.
Was there any kind of study done on these super chests? Are patterns of drops known there? Any link to study like that?
There are a few superchests possible in upper kurast, not kurast bazaar, specifically in a building with stairs up to it and an entrance from the southeast, but its nowhere near as common as the lower kurast spawns.
The sewers level 2, where the khalim’s piece is, has 3 super chests and a bunch of regular chests. That makes it worthwhile if you’re doing LK on battle.net and can’t make a game every few seconds. There are other one-off super chests, usually at the end of long dungeon areas, and not particularly rewarding.
Well i wasnt asking if there are chests like that, i know they are. That was not my question. My question was if there was done study on them to discover patterns.

Not exactly, this is well known and was studied extensively long time ago. There are other chests like that in act and i am curious it they were studie also.

They should bring a D2:Reduced where you can jump directly from chest, chest, super chest, boss, boss, super chest, boss 
Hell, who needs all these levels and graphics, efficiency is most important - oh boy
I will show pictures of what i mean later but it should work as LK chest. But probably wasnt tested.
Mr Llama made a vid about Armor rackets and drops and found out that the direction you approach the racket and if a monster is within that area affects what drops out of it (he was able to predict what item would drop). do you mean something like that with pattern, just for superchests?
There are superchests all around the game, lower kurast ones are special just because they are easy to find and close to a wp, mostly for single player.

i am aware of rackets and their improved chances to get what you want but this is something different.

there’s 3 super chests per LK tiki torch circle, and you can usually get 6 super chests per map. Sewers is the next best with 3 super chests and a bunch of lesser chests next to them, but afaik nowhere else in the game has 3+ super chests all grouped up.
