So I found boneflame a few days ago (socket with pdiamond) and are seriously considering respecing to put them hard 156 STR points I have for spirit shield into vita. Do you guys think this is a good idea? Kinda on the fence on this one. My guy is 88 atm, if so what target STR do you folks usually shoot for, end game gear wise. Also the spirit shield is a perfect 35% FCR if that matters. Thx.
I don’t use Spirit as a main shield on summoners, I prefer Homu for the chance to block, resists etc. Boneflame can be nicer if you got hit +3 version. I don’t find the FCR needed unless you are telly’ing to Meph. So it does come down to your play style/what you do.
If you are Telly’ing through the Durast and need to hit the highest break points so you don’t get caught by dolls or fanat boss packs, you want that spirit to make that happen. If you just use Telly to re-group your boys or Telly past the River of Flame maze, you don’t need the highest FCR BP. I tend to roll forward wiping everything out instead of killing select bosses. I also don’t farm meph with a necy.
Now the other thing to consider is what is your weapon switch? If you are using a CTA you want a spirit to bump up that BO. In this case you will still need the ST req for the weapon swap. By the time your are sporting this level of gear you can get the points in ST through torch or enigma.
Marrowalk has a 118 st req. That’s my goal generally. Obtained through pts until you get the elusive torch/enigma’s to get you there.

Ahh good to know. Think I’ll just keep it 156 for now until I get some more gear, I don’t have any of the high runeword items yet so quite a bit of work ahead of me. I did get the +3 BF. Thx for the info.
