[ Suggestion/ Request ] Re-implement open BattleNet or TCP/IP

Never any good idea to as why pX isnt a good a idea but you still repeat the same 4 arguments. What about pX makes you so scared?

It’s kind of moot to ask such questions.

Bliz said out right why they do not plan to put it in online play, regardless of what the players think/want.

as far as i can see the only thing they said was “as of right now” am i right?

open battle net in d2 classic is totally unsafe, a person can be remote hacked in seconds
i recommend to use it only with people you trust, and to not enable it in d2r

if i get paid i can search all the vulnerabilities in forum and d2r

edit: i wanted to answer with my coralraven account, this one logged in cuz i was opening a ticket asking for a ban to a kid in this forum

Think of “as of right now” as the following:

“This is our current decision on the subject at hand. If that decision changes, we’ll let you know.”

If you want, keep holding onto “as of right now” as a guarantee that their decision will change. You’re only setting yourself up for disappointment.

“as of right now” over 3 years ago does not mean indefinitely not subject to change.
You understand?

can you tell me why this was removed?

https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d2r/t/flagged-post-removed-by-staff/166449

this doesnt violate the rules and it isnt as what the TS contributes to “trolling”

Read…

If that decision changes, we’ll let you know.

Read it again…

If that decision changes, we’ll let you know.

And again…

If that decision changes, we’ll let you know.

There is no expiration date on how long “as of right now” is valid for.

post the video and let me verify what was said. Even if that was the case providing information that would contribute to interpreting what mechanics would be good for the game would still be productive

I’m sure you’ll have no problem finding it, as often as you say I “regurgitate” it here on the forum. Search your post history for “regurgitate”, I’m sure you’ll find it.

Im not interested in that at all but based off your track record of not being analytical and a highly myopic emotional investment its easy for me to guess you could be embellishing

Umm… Ok.

I will check the video the next time you spam it out though

It was more due to Bliz’s philosophy for community.

For online play where the community plays together, they don’t want to implement anything that discourages community play. The /player on Battlenet would give players the opportunity to play solo.

That has me thinking it won’t ever come.

MVPs have no special abilities/mod power. So to me it appears the same as it does for everyone (deleted).

the irony is that this doesn’t need to be true, if they actually started banning the sell sites spammers, and made some basic chat QOL changes and region locked the realms.
they could not only get more REAL players, but by actually banning the sell site spammers, they would force them to buy the game again…

and whats the worst that could happen? you ban them too frequently for spamming chat? they stop buying new account to spam chat and stop spamming chat?
oh no… this this terrible… its sounds like… exactly what we want to happen in the first place

the goals of bans isn’t so u can sell the game again… its to remove them… that’s why ban evaders basically every on every forum, and discord, and game, get banned again.

i get that u cant ban botters often because you simply cant keep up the detection.

but you can absolutely ban sell site spammers

know how you fix that? Ban every account that is associated with botters and ban every account connected to d2jsp.

BIOS hardware ban cheaters, botters, and d2jsp users.

Yeah, then someone buys a used computer that’s banned. The botters recoup a good portion of their money, they can resume their shenanigans, and the sucker who bought the used computer is left high and dry.

The main problem is anonymity. If games required verification of your true identity, more could be done to combat the various problems that plague online gaming. But that won’t happen, not anytime soon anyway. Game corporations don’t want to make it harder for people to spend money on their games, even if it was for a morally just reason.

And blizz along with a certain other individuals here are in the wrong…

All are entitled to their opinion.

All that really matters in the end is the owner’s opinion.

And their opinion have been profoundly stupid.
