Stuck at loading screen after latest patch

Hello Team,

Ever since the latest patch 10.12 I cannot get past the loading screen when starting the game. Blizzard North shows up, Diablo 2 Resurrected appears, the music plays, and then Diablo 2 Resurrected is in the bottom right hand corner with the glove / mouse floating about. I cannot get past this screen.

I’m on PC:
|Processor|AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Eight-Core Processor 3.00 GHz|
|Installed RAM|48.0 GB|
|System type|64-bit operating system, x64-based processor|

Windows: Specifics:

Edition Windows 10 Pro
Version 20H2
Installed on ‎1/‎13/‎2021
OS build 19042.1288
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0

Video card & driver:
AMD Radeon ™ R9 390 Series
Driver: 21.5.2 (Released 5/11/2021)

What I’ve tried:

  • I’ve rebooted the machine multiple times.
  • I’ve used the scan and repair option from the launcher to fix any corrupted files.
  • I’ve updated my video card & chipset to the latest drivers

This was working fine prior to the latest patch. I haven’t seen anyone else with this issue, but I’m unable to play the game at all and I’d like some guidance on what I can do. Thank you.

I’m having the exact same problem. Was working fine before this most recent patch.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the game is what fixed it for me.

However, I did contact Blizzard support and here’s what they offered for me to try:

  1. Clear out the game settings (This option was not available for me.)
Resetting In-Game Options - Blizzard Support

  2. Turn off anything that may be conflicting on the system via selective startup.
Closing Background Applications - Blizzard Support

  3. Try a new admin profile in case there’s something corrupt on the local profile.
Creating a New Administrator Account - Blizzard Support

Isn’t there Radeon software that is also causing issues? I know it comes with the card from the manufacturer but i’ve seen topics here where this software was causing issues.

This did work! Reinstalled and I’m able to get back on. Thank you.
