Whats’ with you clowns trying to put more value on one key over another.
I do not care what enemy drops what key or who thinks what enemy is harder. You still need 9 keys total 3 of each. This crap of saying 2 t-keys is only worth 1- dkey just because of where it came from is crap…one is not rarer than the other.
Saying a D-key takes longer to get is also garbage someone that cannot teleport has to fight their way all the way to the bottom of the tower so it’s not a fast run.
T keys, D-Keys, and H-Keys are all a 1:1 ratio and only worth 1 each.
You keep thinking that, and the market will dictate what value each has…

i always trade D key for 2 t keys. T keys are less because more people farm countess for runes.

Supply and demand does not care about fairness.

All I see is people admitting to ripping people off.
You wont’ ever catch me trading or doing a trade of 2 for 1.
I don’t care what Key you have, you advertise a d key then you don’t get 2 for that.
As to the clown that said supply and demand, there is no demand for keys. One key isn’t more abundant than another. The drop rates for all of them are exactly the same.
The only reason there seems to be more t-keys than D is because people are too lazy to farm for it…Laziness does not create supply and demand
Outside of Greed, there is no reason anyone can explain why they believe 1 d key is worth 2 t-keys…
Do you know what is trading meaning for before you babbling?
Item value doesn’t judge by yourself only 1 person

I’d say you’re paying more for the time spent than the key itself. You have to specifically go and look for a D or H key and that takes a lot of grinding and time. More people have T keys stocked up because countess is a 2 for 1 deal, so you’re more likely to find someone to accept a 2 for 1 key deal.

Special deal just for you, D key for your 5 keys.

While the drop rates are the same and i would not pay 2 terrors for 1 destruction, it is obvious that destruction is harder to farm and is also obvious that destruction is farmer by less people for multiple reasons (harder, more dangerous, more dificult enemies, cadaver explosion is scary).
Countess was even run before uber event became a thing, that incentive is still there, so many people who are comfortable in act 1 hell will engage in these kind of rune-runs. This causes (in the long run) and abundance of terror keys.
Hate keys are not necessarily harder, but can be quite timeconsuming for those who cannot teleport. So this basically means that only players who run a sorx (or enigma) will run these frequently.
Also all other items you might encounter during these runs are useless.
Summoner TC is not exactly noteworthy and the main source of interest (spectres) will only give you loot if you dont kill them over the void.
Also, because your main objective is the key, you will not want to stop and kill anyway.
Lastly, nilathak is in the last act of the game, meaning higher monster hp, higher damage and more difficult attack patterns.
Most players will have difficulties dealing with berserkers, tomb vipers and the occassional fanatism/might + ed fetish squad. And this is before you reach the altar of death.
Once you are in nilathaks sight, he can kill you in an heartbeat if you do not pay attention where you walk.
Players without summons have alot of a hard time.
Melee is deadly as hell.
Being a cold-damage build (e.g. the iconic frozen orb sorx) will make things alot harder.
Basically, you need alot of extra skill/experience or some special equipment (e.g. piece of nature, enigma) to make things alot easier. This cuts out most players from doing these runs and leads to a shortage of destruction keys.
I still would not overpay on them, but that is because i can run nilathak myself. Many players do not want or are not able to do that.
Your assertions are simply ignorant about the basic facts that the game dictates.

Perhaps I can shed some light on this.
I have completed Ubers 3 times. I have a smiter Pally and a Sorc and Amazon I use to farm keys. I usually work with at least 1 other person.
Here is how I view it. Keep in mind Countess and Summoner I farm as a Sorc solo so other characters might have issues. Like Melee in Arcane getting block by spirits.
Countess - By far my favorite place to farm for keys. The reason being is you’ll probably get a sweet rune like Ist while doing it. Its farmed pretty often too so lots of these keys are floating around. If me and two other people were farming keys. Each of us picks a spot to farm. i’d want countess most.
Summoner - 2nd best because hes very easy and there is that chance of getting a sur rune from the spirit packs. The reason I hate farming here is the Summoner never drops good stuff and he has such a low key droprate. Ive done 30 runs on him without a key. IMO this should be buffed to drop more keys.
Nilathak- Okay, THIS ONE takes 2 people to do it well. Someone to tele there and another to clear mobs. Personally I like to use Amazon. Nilathak is not super hard. Its the mobs around him that are frustrating.
Those Vemon snakes eat HP even with 75% resistance to poison. They are also double immune and fast.
The harpys do a lot of damage, they die in one hit but are Physical immune.
The soldiers are cold immune so farming with a pure blizz sorc is out of the question.
The main reason D keys are worth more. Corpse explosion. This is the #1 reason Nilathak is so dam hard. To kill him you need to lure his mobs to one side. Kill them away from Nil, then go around and Kill Nil.
My Amazon can farm Chaos and worldstone on Hell without issues. Even burning souls are not much of an issue. My smiter can solo All of Ubers. They both die in 1-2 hits from Nil’s corpse explosion.
Its just a very tricky place to farm compared to the other 2 which are cake walks.

yea alright bro. why dont you try farming destruction keys on hardcore and not just terror keys and tell me your opinion is the still the same. there arent more terror keys then destruction keys because of laziness. It’s because its dangerous and its harder to get. It’s so obvious why they are more expensive. I’m also pretty sure you’re wrong about the key drop rates being exactly the same.

i give all of my keys away for free. they have the value of potions for MF runners. people are already doing the runs and looking for items, keys are essentially junk items and if they’re not searching for keys to do events. there is little reason for these to have any value at all. maybe like TAL or AMN rune so you can re-roll your spirits or something.
how quaint that you think supply has anything to do with the equation of d2 wealth, it works the same way as diamonds a few people at the top hoard items to increase the value and create an illusion of scarcity.
lmao. if you don’t have a Sorc w/ teleport then you really aren’t interested in efficiently farming i guess. Just because you choose not to play a meta class w/ teleport doesn’t mean your Countess keys are worth more. Nilthilak will always be a nightmare to deal with. So D keys are worth more. Period.

its nothing like that though. any one can just start farming keys or any other item you guys want. obviously bots can get these things easier then you but nothing is stopping you from farming the things you want yourself. ive self found most of my gear. I’m talking arachnids, shako, tals ammy, mage fist, sandstorms. My hoto and maras I traded from converting Lo and Sur runes I found myself. It’s nothing like the diamond industry lmao. Most of you just convince yourselves into hindrance I swear.

You use keys to create the most powerful and overpowered charm in the game and to you they’re junk that you give away?!
