They don’t have the desire to control the problem, as it would cost them money to keep botters at bay permanently. The only way they will do anything is if they can make money by doing so, which is why we only have occasional banwaves.
From a purely lucrative standpoint, botters are Blizzards preferred customer base, because unlike legitimate players, they keep rebuying the game over and over and over every time a ban wave rolls through.

They should make a ban wave at least. Haven’t seen any ban wave for a while.
Right now they have bigger fish to fry getting prepped for D4 launch, plus damage control for the likely post-launch issues.
It is not an issue to the dev team at all. The real question is where can I find a bot that I can use?

Website prices certainly are lower. There are certainly more people with enigmas. Noobs with enigmas who refuse to teleport to baal while I do it with a teleport ammy.
Yeah every time I start the season I realize this game is no different than Diablo Immortal except you just p2w to a 3rd party instead which is why all the bots exist.

Blizzard’s track record with bots in this game (and Lord of Destruction before) is the #1 reason I will never buy or play an online-only multiplayer game from them (such as D4).

A very small number of whales prop up the rmt economy just like all pay to win games
