This que is really stupid what’s the point if we still can’t find people to play with may as well continue solo game like for real blizzard worst game you have made I am old d2 fan from when I was a kid the people that tried to remake this game should really just die they ruined a master peice for the time d2 was released now with this I thought d3 was bad and the new WoW but this my god is by far garbage the worst pos I have ever paid for
blizzard/activision didn’t make d2
… blizzard north did and had nothing to do with this…
Just spam ‘add friend’ to every player you meet.
I never meet anyone that’s the thing
What console are you on?
Why should I have to resort to adding players to play games though? I don’t want to fill up my friends list and there’s only so many slots to fill. Group chats on PSN have a max 100 player limit. I’m a solo player. And all I want is to do my own thing throughout the game and interact with the rest of the community when need be. If I search for a game in the middle of an act I want to easily be able to connect to 4-8 players. The issue of people playing isn’t at question here. The issue is there are too many options for games. 1-8 players. Where the options should probably be 1,4,8 to narrow down the search. It gets even worse when you can search through 6 different areas of an act. Don’t forget even more separation through the “zones” tab. And to add insult to injury whenever a quest is finished the game automatically goes to free roam. So people searching for a specific quest get even less games because you’d have to guess whatever number of people (1-8) and then go “free roam” and hope players are within a certain level of your character. The current system is terrible. And whoever came up with it definitely is not a critical thinker. Pays absolutely no attention to detail and it’s crazy because this is a AAA franchise suffering from ignorant decision making. As the old adage goes, if it isn’t broke don’t fix it. Their first mistake was thinking console players who play RPG’s like Diablo are any different than the ones who play on PC. And then “streamlining” the experience.
@QuirkyOrc
I’m still trying to learn blizzard logic here.
If my psn profile is public, which I’m still unsure of, and I open a ‘private’ game are strangers allowed to join or must they be on my friends list? I know friends can join my private games via my OS profile.
I’m gonna lift the level difference if I haven’t yet.
Any update on this? Was gifted a switch and bought D2R for it. Blizzard advertised online play but I’ve made it to around lvl 60 and haven’t seen a soul even though I play exclusively in the online mode. It just tries to join and then creates its own game no matter what mode, quest, or whatever I choose. Really disappointed…
There is a bunch of post digging lately.
Un-like the many kids who lie and say they played D2; I have.
Lets be generous and say he was 5 years old when he played D2. He’d roughly be 26 years old now.
Does a 26 year old miss every piece of punctuation, use run-on sentences, wish a developer would die, and the #1 insult of young gamers today, call the game garbage?
Nope. That’s a kid.
Why I don’t play online (In Teams)
- Don’t need the help.
- People don’t ‘carry their weight’ in game.
- People Ninja loot.
- People go AFK
- People rush ahead instead of clear.
- No text chat.
I might run into kids like the O.P. who are pure toxic weakness. No thanks.
In their defense, blizz and consoles never mixed well anyway. This is probably their last attempt at trying to make something work outside of PC. They had a chance and blew it pretty hard, which is a complete shame.
I don’t think they failed.
No Man’s Sky failed. They failed the way people think Blizzard failed with D2R.
Hello Games didn’t just fix their game to what their fans expected. They went way further! It’s a comeback at sports history level.
If a small indy studio can rally their people so can Blizzard. I’d suggest anyone who thinks it’s all over to learn more about Hello Games.
