Yeah that would be nice, as a temporary solution, I set up a Samba server on the Steam Deck, which is better than using a USB stick, but still much less convenient than using Steam Cloud.
Online saves are meant to be on the Battle.net side (the Steam version still goes through Battle.net for its services). Offline saves are something that’s possible to do with Steam Cloud sync, but technically challenging due to the game’s hardcoded save functionality.
It isn’t entirely out of the realm of possibility we get this for Steam users, but not likely due to the platform and the fact that certain mods can greatly increase save sizes for offline games, which becomes a problem since Steam Cloud allows for only a set amount of space for a game (it varies by game).
