Actually I don’t think any weapon for summoner would ever be more powerful than a Beast runeword… but another could be used for the actual act of summon I guess… but you kind of also need Call to Arms. That would be some weird Inventory drag mechanics.
I haven’t tested it but I could see end game summon druid being very strong at the moment with some real GG gear. With an Act 5 merc with Last Wish/Lawbringer to break immunes and a Ravenlore to buff Ravens I’d have t see a fully GG’d summoner in action to give it a fair judge TBH.
The issue with summoners… is they are probably the most expensive builds in the entire game to GG out.
Well hmm maybe add runeword before beast which like adds i dunno +4 to raven and +3 to spirit wolf for instance and you can make it on low level same as necro.
Why i suggested originally magic damage for spirit wolf since that summoning deals low cold damage good chunk of enemies which are physic immune are mostly cold resistant and vice versa!
IF using ravenlore i would go for side skills instead shifting to hurricane!
Honestly while I typically hate the mod servers… adding cold damage to ravens was a game changer. I think Magic damage is a bit too much honestly. It’s also not very “druidic”
Oh as for a runeword for weapons… Ehh I think it’s just hard to make something strong than spirit for early game without it being too expensive. White is really only good because of the bases it goes on.
I think a functionality change like “Pet Attack” hotkey, and making Ravens attack the target you hover would be far better buffs.
Maybe like white for druid mane giving few on ravens and few on spirit wolves and i dont know like 20 mana or something minor.
I’d say if something like that was to be added… it should be for Druid Only helms.

Watched the vid. I can’t say I agree with everything he does here and I think he’s massively underestimating how much damage those auras he’s writing off as “too expensive for a bad build” actually add to it overall. I also think choosing werebear over werewolf gimps it’s clear pretty hard for the crushing blow tactic he’s going with.
I prefer werewolf myself much more sexy and fun

Choice is hard take Ravenlore +7 to raves take Jalal or find white cap with few on bear and few other summons and make Nadir cheap man jalal
Again I think they really just need to tone things like Hammerdin/Foh/Light Sorc/Cold Sorc before any summoner build will feel remotely relevant. Like right now as FoH if I try hard it in my non-perfect gear I can clear Chaos starting from WP in 1:30 flat. (Mind you that’s too much work to maintain so I’m typically closer to 2:00) No summoner is ever going to feel good vs that. And I’m missing like +8 skills (10 if you go full try hard no cube lol.) And I do mean clear… not seal popping.
For me those builds are relevant when i clean all content with even 4 minutes speed would be oki for such class i wouldnt go back to sorceress.I m getting sick of soso honestly
Its not tho. Summoner is fine as it is now with dmg.
It is, with elite equip you can run area 85 zones on highest player setting solo.
Also not everything need to be equal to hammerdin dmg.
Why? ravens are very strong on normal.

I know it’s expensive but what about Faith bow? Or any other missle weapon RWs? Actually useing any missle weapon over all? I think it’s something not many think about, as an option for a weapon.
I could see brand being good, but I’d “assume” for very late game Beast + LW + Lawbringer would be stronger overall right? Of course that’s an extremely expensive build.
Unless you could somehow use brand on the druid and use like an act 2 pride merc or something. Not sure how that would work out.
Nothing can beat brand in my opinion for summons.

Brand is not for damage, its for amplify damage level 16 with 35% chance when struck.

cleared ubers and did a sub 3 minute players 8 chaos with a summon druid. the build is fine.
