Stacking runes/gems

Any chance for this? We got bigger stash but what is the reason for not heave this feature? Im collector and will farm all uniq items in game so i will need to make mules anyway…
It is 2021 dont force us to play this game like in 2000.

It’s a good idea.
But purists won’t be happy with this). “It will ruin Diablo!” (C)

That would be great, a really important QoL feature

It would also make organizing inventory a lot easier. It’s 2021 jesus

Purist are idiots. How could this ruin the game in any shape or form? Stacking runes is a win for everyone.
People have to understand that just because D2 back in the day was great and new, doesnt mean theres no room for improvement, this is a 20 year old game ffs.

Making mules and flipping items is the worst experience after diablo 2 for me. If some1 like it… he can do it anyway even after 1000 tabs in chest.

I am not opposed to this.

Same here , i had tons of mule consisting of runes only…
if it would be possible to simply stack runes and even gems , it would makes muling better as one mule would be enough for every runes/gems. (depending on the stack possible) instead of having 10 differents mules just for runes…
this way i could use mules to actually keep unique items (to either keep or give out to other players)

I am in favor of having stacked runes and gems.

Hmm maybe an stash tab for runes and gems would bei better than stackable, like e.g. the material tab from the stash in guild wars. Maybe even easier to implement than an change in complete inventory, and inventory tetris on the road would stay the same.

Agreed, but… If they can add and manage new stash tabs, they can control how items enter/leave it. Seems like stacking items would be trivial.

As much of a purist as I am (according to anybody whose balls-to-the-wall overhauls I don’t like), I would be okay with this if it were limited. Gems can be transmuted when you have three of them. They should stack to three (it’s amazing how many single slots are taken up waiting to get a third to transmute). Runes, I think three is a good number there too. This way, you can’t horde tons of them without consequence, but you can better work within the space provided.

Because if i horde them without consequence "it will ruin Diablo 2"™ of course. Purists can’t live without artificial difficulties.

There’s no need for gem/rune stacking in D2.

So don’t stack them. And guys above want to stack.

Go play mod then. God, same argument.

this is imo the most important qol change that is still missing

I would like to play mods based on D2R of course. But they disabled LAN so mods on D2R are questionable.
And for you I advise to play vanilla D2. Pure and classic, 1.06 desirable. 1.10+ may be too progressive.

+1, I am all up for old D2, but I would not mind this change.

They disabled it due to security issues. I’m sure it’s coming back.

Thanks for the advice but i came here to play D2 remaster not D2 remake.

It’s not going to happen anyway.
