Stacking items (potions..) ... pleeease?

Can we please at least stack the potions? Maybe you could just put a limit on it, like the teleportals and identify. Please?

I do kind of like this idea…with potions…not items though

well, potions stack in your belt.

Its less of an issue after after acts 1 and 2, because you can get the largest belts.

Also becomes less of an issue after act 1 and 2, because potions heal and give a lot more mana farther into the game.

Also most players transition to all reguvs and those instant heal max life and mana.

You already can, 3 into the cube stack into 1.

But you’d need the cube to do that, and you don’t have that until act 2.

Actually, I am a D2 purist. however, I do like the idea of the stacking potions. if they simply let you stack potions in the inventory like (Minor healing potion 16) or something like that, it would help the game. Similar to the stash space, it wouldn’t really effect the character power, but would let you keep a cleaner inventory. I would like this, and I actually think most(not all) purists would like it too.

Belts a 2x1 object hold, between 8 and 16 potions. Thats already potion stacking.

If you want even more potions, they arent held as efficient as hey are on your belt.

This is a non issue.

Beta restrictions is the only reason this is an issue.

I absolutely agree with letting potions stack in the stash, not player inventory though.

Same for gems and runes.

I have been playing for 20 years and I don’t see why this would be a problem. There is precedent for potion stacks for the throwing potions.
You can stack 10 in D2 or 25 in LoD, so even with the belt space for the 16 potions, this is a QoL change I could agree to.

I get that you can stack more on your belt, once you get a good belt, but until then the potions just junk up your inventory and stash space, etc. And even after they’re still scattered everywhere. Much neater to just have them stack by type and value as you pick them up, after you fill your belt - whichever level belt it is. I’m always dumping potions then eventually having to buy more (cheap), it’s neverending cycle that just wastes time and doesn’t really change the game play. Granted, I’m not talking about the really high levels and high value potions or that eventually you’ll have armor etc that will fill your mana and life better without the potions. So, yes, at that level stacking potions will be a non-issue, except for keeping everything organized better. Which it would still do.

Somewhat i agree that in further game potion stacking is not such a problem. But as you look at various of potions you cant really stack potions like for example antidote, and its kinda waste of potential for those potions. End game will be like stack tons of mana, health or revive potions and other potions are just ignored. Ofc you can find proper item to have proper resists or so but even if you say that we come to question - why the hell we need more than 3 potions?

Now we dont need. Mana/heal is all you need and the “heal negative effect” potions are just a rubbish that takes half of your EQ slots… Its kinda sad.
With no stacking those potions should atleast give you resist for a short period. Even 5 sec would be a great turnover to make them way more usefull.

Even for old player idea of some stacking is not that bad. Runes and gems with charms already took quiet space when you pick em up… IF you collect them ofc.

I would be ok with antidote and thawing potions stacking, But healing, rejuvs, and mana potions its not necessary.

It would be the same as making Scrolls stack outside of the tome.

This is attempting to “fix” something that isnt broken.

You have your entire belt of potions not taking up inventory space.

In the beta, you can buy 2 tiers of potions and find on the ground 5 tiers. Thats more the problem. Its also hard in the beta to get the larger belts.

Want to improve potions, just make act 1 and act 2 vendor sell the better healing and mana potions.

God yes on Rune and Gem Stacking!

I always had to have one mule for Runes and Gems only. It also became quite common to hear “D@#$% it ! My Mules need mules!”

Nah, if you like stacking potions stick to modded d2 games. Stacking potions breaks the game. Tomes are in the game to stack id and tp scrolls. stack potions would give a player more inventory space, thus changing the original version.

i dont care about potions really…but stackable gems and runes is a MUST! rather that then more stash space

gems/runes stacks would be really good idd!

after act II NORMAL, you dont have to take that THE REST OF THE GAME. Diablo II have some difficulty, is the essence of Diablo.

People don’t seem to understand, this is not a potion chuck MMO, trust me, after normal, you won’t need potions for the most part as you will life leech, regen, the game was not designed around the idea of questing with 10,000 stacked full rej pots on them.

True, but really would it make much of a difference if they stacked in the stash only? Or for gems and runes to stack in stash only?

No… no stackable Potions… and before you ask No… please go and play diablo3
